I've had the game since it came out, I just never really got into it until these past few months. I gave my friend my old 3DS and let her choose which game I redeemed my Club Nintendo platinum reward for and she chose AC:NL. After she got into it, so did I. The game is much funner when you have someone to talk about it with.

Used to play it for the DS, but never got the one for 3DS.

I started playing it again properly recently and am trying to tidy up all my flowers and lay down paths and bushes a bit better. I've made a room plan for my mayor's house, I've just gotta customise the furniture, complete certain sets, and... find items exclusive to Japan and North America. =___=
I've also got two other villagers, Silver -- i.e. Silver from Pokémon G/S/C & Adventures -- whose house will be, you guessed it, Pokémon themed. /slow clap And another villager is Harry, Harry Potter, whose house will consist of classrooms, a common room, and Honeydukes probably. c':
I'm also trying to decorate my animal villagers' houses... It's all taking a long time. = A = But I'm pretty excited for Happy Home Designer. (:

I've been playing Animal Crossing since it came out for GameCube! I've been in love with every game aside from City Folk (I could never get into it.) I've been playing New Leaf off and on ever since it came out and it's definitely my favorite. The original and Wild World hold some pretty nostalgic memories though.
I'm working on my second ACNL town now c: My first one I got just a bit after the game first came out, I got almost all the gold badges, and completed my house and museum, not to mention spending hours and hours playing it every single day all the while x) After a while I got bored with it though and I just kind of dropped it for a while, until the club nintendo freebie came out, so I got the digital copy, and viola, second town c:
I haven't spent nearly as much time on the second one. If I play it, great, if I don't, well it's there if I get bored. I don't feel pressured to get everything 100% complete like I did in my first town, so it's more of a casual thing like the game was originally intended, haha. I normally end up playing just before bed now, it's just relaxing enough to help me fall asleep, kind of like reading a book before bed x)
I also have an animal crossing blog on tumblr: WolfiesCrossing

I just bought and downloaded it two days ago, I already love it! I'll follow your tumblr when I get home. I can already tell the game is going to 100% take over my life. Theres SO MUCH to learn, and I love that the villagers tell me that I basically need to put my 3DS down and go outside because I've been playing too long LOL The characters are so sweet... it is different to any other game I've ever played. Well I guess that isn't saying much because I'm not really a gamer. Weirdly enough I think it might help motivate me? Like how the clock chimes on the hour, I'm like ??? its been an hour?! I should go and do something and then come back and play.
OKAY I'm going overboard. It is only my 2nd day playing (first full day, good lord)

Aww, thank you, and congrats on getting the game c: I know it did mine the first time around, haha! Like you said though, thankfully the villagers remind you that you've been playing for a long time along with the clock in-game too c: It's a lot different than most games I've played also and I am a bit of a gamer x)
Aww, I'm glad you're enjoying it though, it's such a cute game with lots to do if you like collecting stuff and getting achievements (badges in game) c:

Sorry I kind of abandoned this thread! I haven't been playing nearly as much as I used to. I'm at the point where I just get on every few days to make sure no one moves out, but I don't do much. Maybe I'll get back into it soon :)
Eep, that's not good at all! Sorry to hear that :c

awwwwww i played acnl every single day for the entirety of winter and spring last year! i still pick it up every now and then but my town is essentially finished and every time i try to change it around a little i get bored haha. then i come back and i'm afraid to open the game in case my villagers move away and i'm too lazy to do the make a new character thing to check haha. still it's such an adorable game and to this day i'm still so proud of my town!
We're in pretty much the same boat! My town isn't finished, but I've gotten kind of tired of it the past month or two. I still get on occasionally to make sure my villagers don't move out, but other than that, I'm on hiatus. I need to get on and start on the rooms I have in mind!
It's pretty much all I play! I'm working on placing PWPs so I can finalize my perfect town.
That's great! I'm glad you're enjoying it. I really need to get back on soon to make sure no one moves out. I hope Frita suggests a log bench PWP soon. I really want it!
