Hi, not sure why, but when I hover over an image (food, clothes, etc) no matter what kind of item it is I will not get that little preview box (if it's a wearable you can see it on your HA, get the price of it etc.)

I'm having the same problem- Firefox.

I am using firefox and they start working if I disable the firefox protection temporarily from the shield symbol next to the url case. Firefox says that the site is not supplying info about itself and that seems to have triggered the extra protection that the browser has. I have been having this problem for about two weeks now.

I've had this problem for at least the last 24 hrs; the last time I logged in before that was last week and it was working fine. I'm on Chrome. I use uBlock, but I disabled it to see if that helped (it didn't).

Firefox as well, the latest version.

[edit] as said, when I disable Firefox extra protection it works -- same issue, website not supplying info and it causes the extra protection to kick in.

It's weird for me.

I use Chrome, and the items on the news do not show the hover preview, but items in the Token & Quest shops do.

apologies for the mass-ping, but i was doing some trial and error on my side, because i figured this issue might be related to some new security extensions i installed this afternoon, and i think i figured out what the problem is.

do any of you, to your knowledge, have extensions/add-ons installed that force https security on sites automatically? if you're not sure, look up at your address bar. if you see https instead of http at the beginning of the url, that's what's causing the issue. i have a feeling it's something in subeta's coding that breaks down when your browser attempts to force https onto the site.

what was causing the bug for me was the extension "HTTPS everywhere," and when i disabled that and restarted my browser, hovers came back without issue. i don't have this issue by default in firefox, but i rarely use that browser. however, when i installed a similar HTTPS-forcing add-on to firefox, hovers no longer worked when they had without said add-on. so i'm convinced this is a security measure clashing with subeta's coding.

I don't have any extensions or add-ons that force the https on my URL, but it seems to be causing the issue.

Thanks for the heads-up , I'll be sure to check the url from now on when the hovers don't work.

ideally, will take a look at his coding and update it to work with https, because it's more secure browsing. but until then, looks like we'll need to disable https on subeta through some means or another to get full site functionality.

yeah this is a problem i've been having since feb, and have had a ticket opened for it since then.

if you're running chrome, there'll be a little shield in your address bar. click it, load unsafe scripts, and reload the page. this will last until you close that tab, and then you'll need to do it again.

As a heads up to others, 's suggestion (disabling HTTPS Everywhere) didn't work for me, but 's suggestion did! Thank you both! ♥
