Whats the difference between slotting and putting it directly in the shop though? And if I release more than one batch, do I have to pay more? Is it better to release only a few batches, or to have more, or even unlimited?

Aha I see! Well, if the slots fill you don't have to pay anything for it to get approved! And nope, you do not need to pay extra to move another batch into your shop!
I think with limited batches, they sell better c:

Just gonna let you know that you do not need collats xD You can lock the item with a passcode and send invites once it's approved and in your shop :)

You can either batch 2 me or I can give you a CW worth more in collat. I kinda spent all my sP for TC slots. :( Either works. I love it and can't wait. (I get paid Friday btw and will have the CSC on hand then.)
