Shops I'm in, 9 minutes, 14 minutes, 11 minutes, 2 minutes. Not quite the 4-7 minutes it says in the first post and lots of items are more than 5 in stock. I'm still waiting to see something in this "new" system make an improvement on what we had before.
Do you have a rare item that just won't sell? Are you going through the high levels of Item Hunt? Or maybe you just HATE that blue bunny? Then you should join IHH helpers and IHH bargain in the forum groups!
Restock times seem very long. Magic Box was just at 33 minutes, and Spells Galore was 26 minutes.
For a while over the weekend, it seemed to have improved. Now I'm not so sure. I'll have to test it more closely once I get over this horridly busy week. Bleh.
...
Thanks for these changes Keith! :D Now to go and try out the new shop systems. :)
is nobody bothered by the still long (20min+) wait times on some shops? :|
I am. Minions Market was just at 57 minutes. The times are crazy.
Yeah, they seem to have gotten long again. I can still restock some decent stuff, but the long waits are a little much.

Stick it to the Man! Restocked 40 minutes ago yea not really enjoying this but it looks like nothing's gonna change...
Speaking of prices for super-rares... maybe it is the restocker talking, but r98s( possibly even r97s ) should NOT be below atleast 1m. r98s still can not be gotten any other way, except from Restocking, right? ( not sure on r97s tho ) Or is that completely incorrect? r99s, are released alot by LMEs, so really cant keep their prices. =/ ( there are t o n s of r99s below 100k. :o )
Apocalyptic Apothecary Restocked 6 minutes ago
Book Nook Restocked Now!
Spells Galore Restocked 1 minute ago
Some of the times seem to be getting a bit better during peak times, but I'm still seeing times of 30 minutes or more late night to early morning Subeta time. It gets pretty frustrating.
I see shops are clearing again. I like that, as it keeps the shops not so clogged with junk. Times also seem to have gotten better.

I just got used to restocking the new way and now I have to figure it out all over again. Plus they are emptying so quickly they are useless for questing. Most of what I've had to buy for quests this evening is from user shops.
“Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.” - Benjamin Franklin
"Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the orphan." - Isaiah 10:1-2
On the one hand--I've gotten more new restocks snagged this evening (within the last hour or two) than I have in like a week.
On the other hand, the shops are clearing out almost too quickly. Surely there's a medium between "sitting forever every day" and "sitting for a few minutes then wiping the whole shop"?
Also: It's always struck me as really odd that the system restocks in between "official" restocks (the ones announced in the text at the top of the shop page) where items sort of "sneak in" as mini-restocks and you can miss them really easy.
The "last restocked x minutes" is kind of a lie with that, lol. I stopped paying attention to that bit of text weeks ago because of it. IDK if that's intended, and I kept forgetting to make mention of it.

I'm very, very glad to see that shops are clearing again. Not only was there too much junk, restocking had become too easy to "cheat" at; ctrl + f, 1 in stock, scan for items.
The unfortunate reality is that we NEED things to clear out of the shop for restocking to require any sort of familiarity with the items on Subeta; if Keith doesn't like having them completely cleared, maybe it would be possible to have things randomly removed from the stores in small numbers, just like things are randomly added?
I've been concerned at the frequency of r99 items as well. Restocking is currently a bit 'too easy' and I think that will make items lose value very quickly.
Super long post ahead, SORRY. I wanted to share observations.
I've also noticed the sudden increase in the ability to grab high rarity items. Like, I'm lucky, and I'm decent at restocking by this point from all the practise, but I'm not that good.
Short term I'm having a blast. I love snagging all these things on my wishlist! Items for everyone! Confetti!
Long-term, I'm starting to see some of the effects of this: i.e., the prices for some items are tanking where they were very rare before, and the prices for others are... actually shooting up in price, because they aren't restocking any more, or are restocking less, or...
This sounds--on the surface--like the intention originally stated with all the tweaking for restocking, except...
Okay example time:
I'm pretty sure things like Iron Kettle shouldn't be so low in numbers for availability across the board, and so highly-priced as a result of that lack. It's a normal-flagged rarity, except it's totally a lie. It's not new, it's not retired, it's not... anything but weirdly low in availability, so the market reflects that. I'd never seen them restock before the newest tweaks. Someone actually asked recently and I checked again, and there'd been absolutely zero even available in user shops. It was a distinct thing so it's stuck in my mind this whole time.
They're starting to restock now, so the price IS going down and there are some available in user shops now, but the amount is still weirdly low for an item flagged with this (lack of) rarity.
There was another case with milk cartons (Two Percent cartons were 3 mil when I first restocked one about a week ago? Not even a week ago). They have rapidly flooded the Food Market (along with the rest of the milk cartons) and are slowly going down in price (I think they hover at like 70k and below now). THIS seems to be working right based on the intentions for tweaking how the shops work. So why the kettle disparity, an item in a similar state?
There's two teapots and a few of the teapot-related items (a cup or something and then the silver sugar bowl) whose exact item name I can't recall, but they restock in Get Mugged! shop.
They were practically non-existent presences in the shop itself this whole time (I've been watching the shop for a month, give or take when I need to sleep or do other things not requiring Subeta time), and I'd never once seen them shown up. Suddenly all of them did with the tweaks, and I finally got both to check off my wishlist. That's great!
But it was really weird to notice that these mundane items were suffering the same strange lack of availability for a common item like the kettle is.
Also: there's a sunflower. Literally just "Sunflower." It's the bane of my restocking, actually, lol. It's the whole reason I started trying restocking out, because I wanted one. Because... look at my user name!
Anyway, it restocks in Seedlings, or it's supposed to. I've not seen it restock once in the same period of time since I started. I've seen all sorts of fun, far more rare items, with way more regularity, and not just in this shop. I've made millions hand over fist!
Like: I've seen the Ornate Floral Pitcher, an item sharing the Sunflower's rarity at 99/super rare, 8 times. I have 8 of these darn things, lol. I mean, I'm thrilled! I'll have all the glade pets I could ever want (if I ever get more slots), and I have enough pitchers to fund wishlist items/put in galleries/whatever.
But... the pitcher is worth like 7 mil. I should be seeing less of these than the zero times I've ever seen a silly Sunflower restock, whose worth is only like 200k. It's bizarre.
Anyway, these are just an example of a few I've paid any attention to because of self-interest, and I finally thought to actually put them into this thread now that the tweaks have swung things wildly in another direction again.
Maybe I'm wrong and this is how things are supposed to work. Or maybe it's all just confirmation/observation bias. It's not like I can be present 24-7 to monitor things.
But I have very poor health and am bed-bound for about 90 percent of my day, on any given day, so I am playing Subeta way more than is probably the average, and I spend about half of that time on Subeta restocking and browsing shops because it's fun for me and I need the distraction.
So uh. I mean, all the fallibility for not being able to monitor every shop ever in constant surveillance put aside, isn't something at least a little hinky?

Several of the mid-rarity items you mention-particularly the kettles and teapots were just items for Esther's quests during Vesnali. I regularly restock in Home Appliances, and before the Esther Quests, getting a few kettles was fairly easy. They were usually just occasional quest fodder, and with the exception of the copper kettle, they moved fairly slowly. The milk cartons were also quest items for Esther, and like the kettles, the prices shot up ridiculously, and are now leveling to a more normal range.
I can't tell you much about the sunflowers. I have restocked several over the past month or six weeks-it might just be poor timing. I'm also mostly home sick in bed or on the couch, and spend a lot of time restocking here.
I do really see the frequency of r99's going up at a rate that seems alarming, but, hopefully, with good feedback, this will get corrected before the economy of Subeta gets really weird.
Okay good thank you for confirming that it's just mostly bias for the majority of the items. :D
I actually.. completely forgot to take into account the Vesnali holiday quests!

It was working so well for the past few days, and now it seems to be acting a little funky again? I mean, not terrible wait times like over an hour or anything, just weird, sporadic times. And I haven't seen the shops clear again.
