i have so many interests that it's almost unhealthy >.< :P most of them have been things i've simply stumbled across. i got into collecting vinyl albums because i listened to the band transit, and for some reason it just hit me that it would sound awesome on a record player. so i purchased their album young new england on vinyl before i even had a record player, and now i have 2 players and ~40 albums (not a ton but hey, it's a start)! i love records. as far as other important interests, i've been drawing since i could remember. i'm also really into computers and programming. i taught myself a lot about computers back in 3rd/4th grade when we had a family computer and i was determined to go through all the system files and everything. you can learn a lot with reverse engineering, if you're careful :P man i have so many more interests, i feel like it would take too long to explain! i've been into anime since they used to play naruto shippuden on disney xd in the early days of that channel, when i was in about 4th grade. that was when i got into reading manga too (my first manga was a naruto one, my second was mixed vegetables). the rest is history!

I got into video games, properly, after meeting my husband :) I played the odd game, Need for Speed, Assassins Creed, Two Worlds, before I met him, but he introduced me to the world of gaming, so to speak :P

I've always loved reading, as kids, we were always encouraged to read rather than sit in front of the TV, and I guess I've held on to that. I have 6 book cases with over 100 books in each, and three or four boxes full of books as well. I've read most of them. My favourite book is The Secret Garden, closely followed by Memoirs of a Geisha, and Jane Eyre. Two classics, I know, but I do love them. Harry Potter and the HungerGames come close as well :P

I'm also a leader with Girlguiding. I started out as a Rainbow at age 5, worked my way through the sections, and I've come back after 3 year break to train as a Leader :D

At the temple, there is a poem called "Loss" carved into the stone. It has three words, but the poet has scratched them out. You cannot read Loss, only feel it.

Animals - not much to tell with this one. Apparently when I was very young (too young to remember) I loved animals, wanted to hug them whenever my parents took me to a petting farm or zoo. That's an interest that has always been with me, and I can safely say that this is something about me that won't be changing any time soon!

Astronomy - I obsessively dreamed about going into space, discovering new planets, and discovering aliens all the time when I was a kid. I embraced my originally subconscious obsession later in life (probably in my early teens) and would educate myself about the solar system and the galaxy in my free time. These days I just like to keep myself up-to-date with any new astronomy-related discoveries and news on space travel.

Performing - performing is my life. I'm in a show this week, in fact, with my local drama group! Oddly, I've always been insanely shy and get so terrified at being the centre of attention that I actually tend to feel physically ill on my birthday! How on earth could someone like me enjoy performing? But I do. I love it, and when I'm on stage I'm fearless. I got into it when I was a kid - my mum signed me up for dancing lessons just because my friends were taking them too, then noticed how I seemed to be suddenly charismatic in school plays (despite never having a big role because those were only given to the confident kids!) and when a local drama group started up, I joined immediately. From there, I got involved in many other shows, and perhaps taught some of my school teachers a thing or two about shyness vs. stage fright. There's something so fun about taking on the role of another character, and playing that role in front of thousands. But don't get me started on how scary it is trying to have an intimate conversation with one or two people - yikes!

Point and click adventure games - sounds pretty random, huh? Anyway, I was always a gamer, but I got into this particular genre when I was about 9 or 10. One of the things I really liked about gaming as a kid was that you could basically control the actions of an animated character and get them to do what you wanted them to do. I eventually studied animation in college, but back then I was still young and didn't know how to create an animation from scratch, so I just enjoyed being able to take control of cartoon characters. But as I got older, I was starting to wish that video game characters' personalities were better defined and there was more to the story. I think my first adventure games were the Gobliiins series; great cartoon antics, although the characters aren't too deep. Then when I was 9 or 10 I played Simon the Sorcerer - a game with a well defined protagonist and lots of other nicely written supporting characters. When I was 11 I first played Day of the Tentacle, my first LucasArts game with everything I could've hoped for in a game and it is still my favourite to this day. I then got into other LucasArts classics like Monkey Island, and Sam and Max, and so on. I just love this game genre, and it started because I was looking for a game with interesting characters and a real plot.

So I guess those are a few interest of mine. :)

Drawing: Ever since I can remember, I've just always loved to draw! I've always got a sketchbook handy in case I'm struck with inspiration.

Painting: I started painting about five years ago. I was a chaperon for a youth trip to Centrifuge, and I decided to take a creative painting track. I absolutely loved it, and had to go out and get some canvases and paints to start making my own, which I now sell :)

Crocheting: My mom learned from a friend a couple of years ago, then she taught me. Now I've been crocheting all sorts of things, and sell my crocheted items as well!

Singing: Something else I've loved ever since I was little. Not a second goes by that I'm not either listening to, singing, humming or at least thinking about a song. I was in choir in high school, and was on the worship team at church. Now I make youtube videos :)

Gaming: It all really started with pokemon when I was a kid! My mom had gotten gameboys for me and my little brother, and we had pokemon yellow, blue, and red. Have been in love with pokemon ever since, and always looked forward to gettting the newest games! My freshman year of high school, a friend from band introduced me to Runescape, and I was hooked for so long. The same friend later got me hooked on Aura Kingdom, which I in turn got my husband hooked on X) Also enjoy several games on our xbox one. Then there's the pokemon tcg online X) And can't forget Subeta of course! ^^
