There is taffy that is made not with plain tap water, but with water that has salt in it. Apparently, you can't say that here? Anyways, this kind of candy is an ocean beach boardwalk and carnival conceit. Anyone who has made candy themselves will tell you a regular taffy recipe has salt in it.
marzipan or nougat?
Marzipan sounds good! I never had it but might want to try it sometime as I heard it is really good!
German Chocolate Cake or Red Velvet Cake?

Oh, duh! Salt-water taffy, because t**t is a derogatory term in England... I see...
Yellow squash, because they taste the same, but the yellow kind is prettier. :O

Chicken noodle soup, or chicken peanut soup?
I've never had chicken peanut soup, but the recipes look delicious and I want some right now. I have all the ingredients except the sweet potatoes, darnit.
Chicken Satay, or Mee Krob?
Hmm... Chicken Satay. I love most asian food, but as a general rule, and across all types of cuisine, I'm not a terribly big fan of crispy and crunchy things, and it seems like the noodles in Mee Krob are fried when they're still dry... I don't think I'd be a big fan. :( Just like I don't like that salad where they crush up dry ramen noodles.

One of the recipes I use as a base calls for regular old potatoes instead of sweet potatoes. I usually do use sweets, but plain will do in a pinch -- just up the spices and carrots for a little more flavor!
Gonna go with chocolate-covered strawberries on this one.
