Wish we lived closer to you Scathatch. It will be gorgeous for your cousins wedding. Our spring bulbs are up but not blooming yet. No trees in bloom yet either. I shouldn't complain though at least the snow is all gone. Most years it wouldn't be by April.

There was only our daughter and Bruce and I for an early dinner. We ate after church then played scrabble. Talked to one of the granddaughters. We'll phone the rest of the family later when they're home from their Easter gatherings. Our son-in-law will be home from work on Wed. then we'll have another Easter dinner for him and for Bruce's birthday. Sure would be nice to all be together for a holiday again. Hasn't happened for a few years.

I worked yesterday a double shift and then a finally at home a client that walkes away loads was brought back by the police (again). So i had to babysit her for the ambulance to pick her up. Her alzheimer is getting worse but she would say yes to go to a closed nursing home. We now need a paper from the judge so we can admit her. But finally yesterday evening with the police and all other companies she finally got comitted (is that the correcct word??) at a panice place and if all goes correct with all the paper work she gets a place in a nursing home near her family this week. Pfff... i am happy for her as it was getting out of hand.

I'm glad you were able to place that client with a nursing home near her family. I hope that puts an end to her wandering (although my dad's father occasionally escaped FROM his nursing home and would end up in odd places miles away...)

The events seem to start on Fridays most of the time, I think. But sometimes I think the staff is a little too laid back to worry about when the events should start. They even made entries for the holidays that give an approximation for when the event starts. :) Luminaire is the exception of course because it runs every day in Dec. :)

There are two opposite times of life represented here as I check in - one sad nearing the end and the other just starting into the most exciting time with marriage and University on the horizon. Just reminds me that we have to enjoy every day as we'll never get this particular one back again. Going to visit my 93 year old friend and enjoy being with her as long as I can. She's taught me so much in the last twenty years on how to love and enjoy life as it comes, always thanking and praising God and never complaining.Every Tuesday morning is a gift that she's still here and I can still enjoy her company and wisdom.

I'm thinking about selling off everything I have, both wardrobe and gallery stuff, that I dont absolutely love... what do you guys think? Thank you Kysta and Terry. My friend's son let us know that she had had a slight stroke Good Friday. She seemed fine though while we were with her. This gave her son, who she lives with, time to get some things done away from the house while we had tea, visited and prayed together.

Bruce's birthday is today. He's going out with his cronies for coffee this morning. Having a dinner for him tonight. Better go make his cake and do some cleaning. The sun is shining in and showing up the dust. 😔

My uncles (my dad's brothers) drove down from Wisconsin to California in 31 hours!
They got here yesterday afternoon, during our freak storm, OMGosh it was crazy, we got SO much hail it looked like it snowed here!! Then the sun came out and melted it all away. lol
We had a cook out today at my parents it was so nice to see them all again! I'd really like to go out there again before they leave, and play some poker and a game of hearts.
