Any thoughts on the animal crossing: home decorating thing/game coming out this fall? I guess I would like it more if it would be an asset to the excisting game

I was excited about it when I first saw it, but I became iffy after learning about having to buy the thing that reads the cards since I don't have the "new" 3DS. Also I'm wondering how expensive buying the cards is going to get, or if they're going to be in blind packs like pokemon cards for example.

The game itself though looks kind of fun, it reminds me of the sims a bit. I agree though, I kind of wish it had been an extension to the existing game. I'm going to have to have more info about it though before I consider purchasing it, cute as it looks xP

Indeed, that's what holds me back too. Those cards could turn out to be rather expensive and that would be a pity ): I just have this feeling it's going to be rather limited too. If you decorated most of their houses you'll be like: okay so now what. I would be like that I guess, can't speak for everyone though.

But we'll see! I kinda hope it turns out better than expected but yea (:

I already have Diana in another town, but I never actually had Kid Cat and Rosie, so I'm pleased. Once they ask to move out (which I can't decline in a Nuzlocke, I'll move them to permanent towns - probably Lux and Nox) Grizzly is not a keeper right now, but he is in the high tier of crankies to me.

Only Jambette is bad, imo. These collagen lips. And I love some frog villagers so much too (Prince is master race)

Just gonna say that this man is the best villager. Olaf is so smug. I love it.

(So disappointing that I timehopped so much he moved out of my town. I deserve it. ): )

Man, lately I don't feel like playing Animal Crossing at all ): I have to reset in both my towns so maybe that's it sigh

Aw, sorry to hear that. Sometimes resetting can be a good thing, though. My game was getting a little stale, and I just reset. I've been having fun starting over and getting back into the game again. c:

Yeah, I have to plot reset though. It's probably just something I'll have to get through but still ahhh. I hope I can pick the game up again soon.

I play new leaf, it's my first AC game. Lately I've been working on acquiring my dreamies. I only have 4 more to go, since Kyle (a dreamie) was a random move-in the other day. :D

I have New Leaf! I stopped playing it around Christmas because a lot of stuff was happening irl, and when I got back on after a couple weeks, my favourite villager moved out... so I'm still upset, lol. ; u ; Yet when my town was full, Punchy was in my campsite and I was so sad because he's the ultimate dreamie. ; A ;

I'm kind of at a loss in terms of what to do with my town right now... I've got a house plan for my mayor's house, but as for my other PC's houses and the outside I'm not sure what to do. I have paths and some bushes and a couple of areas I'm kinda happy with, but most of my town is messy flowers and I don't really have a theme...

Other than that, I make QR codes for clothes quite often. aha.

I have all the Animal Crossing games <3 I'be been playing NL on and off lately, but not as much as I'd like. My boyfriend got it as a Club Nintendo reward though, and he's OBSESSED! It's really cute, and he's always asking me questions and getting excited about his villagers.

I don't suppose anyone saw the E3 trailer with ACNL? * A * More HHA home design and minigames!! So cuuute. Must have it.

I'm so so pumped for this. They look like they're making a lot of welcome changes to the gameplay and while they may be exclusive to just this spinoff, I'm really hoping they'll add them to the next major game. Specifically the ability to pick skin colour like it looks you can in HHD. It's about damn time they let you customize your villager's skintone with something other than an irritating tanning process. Also drag and drop furniture pls. I hate having to shove around everything. :<

I just rolled back into playing Animal Crossing after a three month break and I have a lot of feelings, especially with the announcement of HHD. A I didn't think we'd be getting another Animal Crossing game for a long, long time even if this is only a spinoff.

Also, since I saw it mentioned on this thread: buying the cards and reader don't seem to be a requirement for playing Happy Home Designer! They're just a plus, from what I've heard.

I feel they'll have to add these changes to the next game, otherwise it'll seem like a downgrade, and New Leaf is already so popular. Adding this will be answering so many players' wishes. ; u ;

It's so ridiculous that you can't choose skin colour. I don't mind the randomised facial designs with the questions on the train, but not being able to choose your character's skin colour is just wrong and lazy.

Drag and drop makes it look so much easier! * A * I put off designing and redesigning rooms because it's so much effort to move everything. ;; And I love the look of the minigames! Especially the little boardgame one. ; u ; Cuuute.

I've been checking ACNL sporadically for the past few months since my favourite villagers left, but I've sort of been getting back into it and this announcement makes me more excited! I didn't think Animal Crossing would have any announcements either! Yay. ♥ (I'm also super excited for Fallout 4, Dishonored 2 - totally called the Emily thing, Unravel, FFVII remake, KH3 -- ahhh, there's so much!)

Definitely! I don't think they can add every single thing, but I would love to see them keep things like ceiling furniture, rugs, and drag and drop furniture.

I really don't mind the randomised facial designs either-- I think they're a lot of fun and add character to the game. However, skintone is another matter entirely. In a game where you can customize pretty much everything-- your clothes, your hair, your face via mii mask, your villagers' dialogue, their clothes, your furniture, public works projects, the landscape, and even the plot of your town if you're persistent enough-- it seems pretty unfair that some people aren't allowed to customize their skintone to match their own. So I'm going to be expecting this from the AC series from now on ahhhhhh.

SAME. I just pulled everything out of my main room last night and it took me forever. Organizing like four pieces of furniture takes forever, especially if it's really big and you can't spin it properly. Omg yeah I'm psyched about those as well!

I seriously thought it would be another five years at least, hah. This is really the only game I've been keeping tabs on (I have too many old games that I still need to finish to be buying myself new ones) but I've heard there's some exciting announcements! Unravel looked cute and pretty fun. I'm interested to see what they do with Kingdom Hearts too. I admittedly haven't finished that series either but I've always loved the concept bc Disney. Tho I do wish they'd do something about Sora's feet.

I WANT THE CARDS TOO but I'm also broke. ;; So I'll probably have to get along with just the base game, if I can afford it when it comes out.

I am a little scared to go back into my town; I haven't played ACNL since Pokemon XY came out...I probably have that stank flower ruining my town by now.
