Lovely art! :D Mind if I nominate some characters? Can't recall if I've ever posted in your threads before so I apologize if any of them look familiar. I'll try to post mainly the sort of characters who in some way break my "pretty white chick" mold. I suppose it might be easier to try out a cartoony style on characters who actually have some facial features to play around with. If none of them strike your fancy then leave them be.

Dardariel, a warrior-angel. Notes/TL:DR description: androgynous facial features reminiscent of the beauty ideals of ancient greek, with that curly hair, straight nose and curved lips seen on some greek woman statues. Small- and ring finger are missing on his left hand. Sometimes covers it up with a special glove or a gauntlet. He generally wears a greek-style tunic whilst off-duty, but you're free to experiment with armor or "Earth" clothes (both historical and modern). But if you choose him, then he wears a three-bar cross necklace on a golden chain, please leave that in. Kinhearted, but haunted by the war between angels and demons. Prone to philosophizing due to having read one too many human books.

Xiaofan of Cangxi Notes: You're free to change her outfit if you like to, but if you do, then please keep it East-Asian inspired and keep the coin necklace. She's a confident tomboy. Very cheerful, very flexible, with exaggerated bodylanguage. She's been dancing since childhood as a way of "venting" her excess energy, and because she enjoys performing. Ran off with a group of pilgrims in search of adventure and helps them fund their travels by dancing for money.

Lacerta, The Snake Worshipper, High Priestess of the Cult of the Sky Serpent. Notes: She's from a fantasy culture which has been worshipping snakes to a point that, either through divine or arcane means, the people have started taking on facets of the subject of their admiration. She has a very strong snake-theme, especially to various pit vipers and she's sought to deepen her kinship to these animals by various body modifications as well. For example Lacerta's canine teeth are filed sharp and her tongue has been cut down the middle to look more like the forked tongue of a snake. If you wish, you may add scale tattoos on her face or body. She doesn't care much for people, only her god. She started out as a minor priestess, but, though genuinely devouted, many of the interpretations she gave to "divine signs" were very questionable. This lead her to break off from the main religion and found her own, gaining followers by claiming to be a prophet fluent in the language of snakes.

Christel Audursdöttir, investigative reporter for Visir. Notes: "Being a journalist, Christel has no particular talent for reporting facts." As always, you're free to play around with her outfit and hair. Tends to spend beyond her budget, having grown up in an upper-class household and never completely adapted with the downgrade in income. A bit of a hipster (though she herself denies it, claiming herself to be an "afficionato of timeless formal fashion"). Very nosy and, whenever she thinks she can get away with it, unscrupulous with facts. Loves nothing more than a good story and is more than happy to "improve" the ones she comes across during her job.

Nimue Jakande, a blind healer Notes: Free to experiment with her outfits, but please keep the blindfold/scarf somewhere on her presence if applicable. Cynical for a healer, occasionally coming off as passive-agressive, but enjoys the feeling of being useful. Her personal philosophy seems to be along the lines that the world might suck, along with people in it, but she doesn't have to fall to their level and perhaps, with enough work, it'll take a turn for the better.

Got one more character, who technically needs art, but he's got no references and I'm somewhat foggy on what he looks like so I suppose I best not post him...

I don't know if you could love skulls, but...

Hereyouare the Bocksten Man! He's a bog body of XIVth century, and (I don't know why) he has become like a mascotte for me (I'm a re-enactor of his period). I'm quite fond of his history and it touches me a lot. ...yes, it's an hairy skeleton, allright. With a medieval outfit and shiny gold locks. For body refs, there are pictures of his clothings (yes, the body was found in a swamp and it's the best preserved in Europe): 1, 2, 3. And for hair, there's a facial reconstruction, but I really prefer him like a skull with hair, as it is nowadays. Feel free to play with his "expression": it's a skull, allright, but also skulls have feelings :P he's vain ("ooooh, look at my gorgeous shiny hair!! I'm 700 years old but I'm soooo cool. And I'm better than you.") and a bit naughty, but definitely not a bad guy. :) And there are a bunch of other drawings of him, if you need them!
