more like they are suspecting someone from the Squirrels so they decide to join the "adventure" as a guss to uncover he killer. that the team knows each other but is not offically a team, more a group of people with a common goal.

that's the beauty of RPGs, you can make a separate story altogether or a tie in with the main one.

in year one we were required to make a seperate "group" bio. each character has an individual back story and they were winners for best ones + HA overall creativity. but those that made a seperate group bio for how the team members got together or knew eachother got extra points. not sure how it'll play this year but you always get points for being extra creative with the write up.

what hammy said, always points for the creative ^.^ I am thinking that being set to solve a crime might overshadow or get lost in the main event though. Cause we'd be obliged to try to work it into everything, else why are they doing all this stuff? rofl though it would be bitchin at the end if one of our teammates was the killer, throwing suspicion on the dark elf, of course, and the warrior because they are slashy killer types, and all the while being all innocent... Still, it might be a bit convoluted, we may want to stick with something simple and easily adaptable

oh I definitely agree we need to explain how the team formed. I need a lot of guidance in the first chapter or two. I really did almost nothing for the RP bit of NNN, and that has been my only experience with RP. Ever. So, I think maybe it's best if you guys tell me what needs to be done, and I'll keep up with the hopefully gentle nudges.

I have the HAs saved and will get the group image ready to go.

the story overload bit was my thought also. Glad to know that's not just newbie jitters.

you are doing fine lol. I do not think you need any special guidance and all, we can literally do what we wanna do ^.^ If you feel that RP is really not your speed so much, you can do more a write-in, like you go "this is what I think my character would do, or how my character would respond" and others can write it into the RP, it's no big. I think you will like it once you get into it though, it is fun to just ditch yourself and be someone else for a while :D Or, maybe that is just me.

And yeah, I am only hesitant because if we build up too big a private story line, it may contradict or not make sense in GR's story line at some point, especially since we don't know what she is going to throw at us. Of course, it might fit in fine, so something generic and open would likely be best if we go that route, that way we can adapt it and mold it as needs be, without having to jump through too many hoops.

when I was typing I was thinking along those lines too, like they would be a common theme in all the RPGs.

but that's my suggestion anyway.

you're doing fine, it's all fun and really there is no right or wrong, just a bunch of idea and we go with the one we think works best ^_^

Mondays and Tuesdays are good! Wednesday should be as well. All of Thursday until Friday evening (~6PM Subeta Time) I'm likely unable to be active >_<

Also, I saw 's post on the Intro Group BG thread on the SL forums - really good ideas to start the RP off..! Hahah, and I like how intricate/complex they get as you go down the list. Favorite is the third one, but second's definitely easiest to pull off.
