So I've tried to put a (.png) image in my gallery description.
First I used scode ([*img]LINK[/img]) but it won't show up at all.
So I tried html () but that just leads me to a broken image because it's removing the .png part of it.
[edit] Uploaded some screenshots (used two different shops just to show it's def not the cache)
Using scode: description / how it appears
Using html: description input / what it changes to / how it appears / what it looks like when opening broken image in new window
Why don't shops/galleries recognize .pngs?
Have you tried saving your image as a .jpg instead? I was trying out some shop coding yesterday and found that my .png's didn't show at all, but .jpg's did.
If you look at the url in your last screenshot (as you may have noticed) the .png isn't showing. The shop's don't seem to read that file extension properly somehow.
Sonata is right, the shops and galleries don't recognize pngs. If you change to jpg or gif then they will show up.

Oh that's really weird. I never even thought to save it as a different file (I'm so used to .png because all the quality and transparency forever!)
I changed it to a .gif and it's working fine now with scode ^.^ Thank you.
I didn't either, until I noticed the subetalodge shop codes I was looking at had .jpg's.
I'm all for .png's too (can't beat the quality and full transparency) so saving as .jpg's is really weird to me too. x)
Well maybe they can look into why it doesn't recognize .pngs sometime... because I love my pngs :c
I guess I could edit this a little so it's more true to the problem. :x
That would be great. It'd also be nice if html tags didn't break when you hit save/edit. As it is now, shop/gallery layouts are a pain to code.
Which is why I won't code them >.> lol
Shops and galleries need a makeover, period. (Like adding a sort by rarity feature, and a checklist type thing similar to the vault where you can move items to another shop, your vault, or your inventory easily.) But that's another story O.o
