: Thanks, I had so much fun, but I really worked at it. ( I just loved the idea of Kibi leaping off the cliff to the nets below to get to the other side of that chasm. Doom is such a doofus, she honestly thought that Kibi was going to sprout wings and fly across...Kiburoth simply just had to be a faerie in order to do that, in her mind. )
I would prefer a part-time Sage to no Sage at all, so I say "Go, Foggies, GO!" Besides we have a number of "reclusives" this year, and I'm already writing their base of operations, so they can pop out whenever they can, and do the whole adventure with everyone else.

Mostly the same judges, yes, but one is in Europe and in the middle of a long term project, so he has a friend filling in, and one has been quite ill, so she may have some help.
Thanks for the update on Donner. Even our judges didn't like him, but they agreed he was well played. They will be very disappointed, as am I, that Kitcher did the "teen mom" bit and didn't dump his sorry ass, since she was worth about six of him! But oh, well...things DO happen that way. Let's hope that high tide doesn't wash her out to sea!
Please remember that all teams were new once, and a lot of "strangers" were feeling lost the first time. Some teams created some deep friendships and some proved they were better with others. It all works out, and, right now, forming a new team seems to be the option if you want to do this. Just jump in the water! Be not afraid! :D
Fair enough. I have a few ideas for Quercus such as another companion (which may show up next time) but I did wonder what the offical word on character numbers is. It will help me limit myself for future WS.
Oh I see. I didn't know you needed to do things like that. Hm. I doubt I'd play as two this time or the next, but maybe int he future when I've got a good idea of the character in my mind and the wardrobe is out of beta. If it's anything like last time the wardrobe may have some issues. Thanks for the advice. I've got a better idea of the limits. I did wonder what happened to Donner and Kitcher. Sounds like she's having a wonderful time. Do you think she'll come back at any point?
Trust me, no one was/is as nervous as me lol, this will be my first WS as well,I've never even role played, but I trust my team will be marvelous and patient so Ive jumped in at the deep end. I know there are quite a few new people,so good luck to us one and all.

the short answer
Kitcher gave birth a month or so after WS last year in her new home on Misty Creek. The young couple live close to where my cousins Sparky and Sally live and they have made many new friends there. Donner was able to afford a very nice burrow for his bride, completely furnished, from their WS adventure earnings. I imagine they will be able to live there comfortably for many years.
After they returned, the stories of their adventure seemed to turn the tide of public opinion toward the two. Donner was immediately recruited by the Watcher Corps as an adviser due to his personal knowledge of the Black Arrow, the army of creatures that fought against the Woodland Council in our recent civil war. His continuing role is to help in the 'reconstruction' efforts by seeking out and repatriating insurgents.
Kitcher will return to Healer's Hall soon as my personal assistant and lead chemist of our formulary in charge of healing elixirs and potions. Her pups have learned their letters and figures and are ready for apprentice school which will free her to assume her duties to the Master Healer ( me ). Kitchi is very much like the little sister that I never had. ( as I am the last of 23 offspring in my tribe ) It is very doubtful that they will be coming back to Subeta. They are very happy back on Terra. Their time on Subeta was an act of desperation.

the long answer
It's one of the amazing curiosities of our culture, how a female chooses a mate. Very little of the process makes sense at first, and Donner and Kitcher's case is an extreme example of this. Nobody on the Woodland Council saw much worth in Donner, for all purposes, he appeared to be nothing more then a scoundrel. He was a former special-forces soldier of the Black Arrow who deserted, and therefore was reviled by both sides. He seemed to have dubious morals and affiliations, nobody could tell if he was telling the truth about anything. Everybody assumed the only reason he hung around Glen Meadow was to prey upon some poor young female and get a free meal. He had a reputation as a flirt and a drunk, ( These and many other assumptions about him proved quite incorrect. )
Kitcher certainly was very young when she came of age, but then, nature decides that course. She is a deep empath, as close to a telepath as one of our kind can be and she must have sensed something valuable in Donner and fell in love with him and chose him. He really didn't have much to say about it. Neither did her mother and neither did the Woodland Council. There were some on the Council who considered taking Donner out behind the Council Chambers and giving him a pillowcase party, or worse. Thank the Maker that never transpired. Suffice it to say, once they were married, they were both treated as pariahs. Shunning is a little bit like silent murder in our world. It was under this scrutiny that Kitcher and Donner sought out the WS in order to make a little money to start their family. There was a lot of Donner-hate being spread among the gossip-mongers in the Marketplace.
Since their dangerous adventure with the WS last year, Donner has showed a side of his character that few thought existed, he came home deeply changed, a new weasel if you please. Humble, quiet, hardworking, sober and completely devoted to Kitcher and his offspring. It didn't take long for the Woodland Council to realize that they had misjudged poor Donner and whole-heartedly endorsed his recruitment by the Watcher Corps. His latest mission was to be intentionally captured by Black Arrow insurgents, infiltrate their ranks in order to gather intelligence that could be used by the Watchers in clearing out pockets of resistance. With a single paw, he convinced one of the largest insurgent groups to surrender unconditionally without shedding one drop of blood. He admonished the Woodland Council that if he could change, these insurgents could also change, given the chance. His rational was that love covers a multitude of sins. Donner has grown up and shown his finest qualities. (much of the rank and file BA had previously been repatriated, but insurgents had not been offered that mercy...yet...another very long story.)
It doesn't seem to make sense, in this day and age we tend to be cynical, we have seen so much sadness and abuse of young females at the paws of evil-hearted selfish males. I don't think that we need to worry much about Kitcher, despite her youth, she has a strong will, a strong moral compass, a deep compassion and a willingness to see things through. She loves Donner with every fiber of her being. I believe that she and Donner are going to be a strong force for good, together in our community.
(Kitcher and Donner are two main characters in the third book of The Glen Meadow Chronicles that I began writing this last November after Wayward Squirrel. They play a pivotal role in the history of Glen Meadow and are regarded as heros.)
Alright so , , and all replied back that they are joining the team, Cyroris also said will most likely be joining us but I'd like to hear from her what she wants to do. We are currently working on a name and classes so we will get back to you when we've decided on something.

Question for you, is it common that people make forum groups for their teams? If so, do you think using the private forums through that function a good idea to keep everyone on the same page? Was just an idea I thought of since I don't frequent Subetalodge as much as I should.
It seems to have proved very helpful to a lot of our teams. It's just not the same page. You'd be surprised at how competitive these events can get! And yes, each of these threads is private for the group. That's the way Georgie has always set them up. You can do it on Subeta, of course, but you'll have to set up a ping group just for your team.
: Ha! I had forgotten that incident. Major fox pass ( faux pas...um sorry about that ) on Donner's part to be sure. I just hope that Captain Reynard will one day forgive said errant weasel-boy and chalk it up to the medical condition commonly known as GAS, generalized adolescent stupidity.
From time to time, Kitcher wakes up giggling after a recurring dream she has of her once, short-lived crush on Lucien. He seemed to favor her for some reason....

Boop! Me again with another update! confirmed that she's joining us. Also I'm gonna step up to team lead and Corvus will be my backup.
We're hoping to have a name for you in the next day or so once everyone gets a say, we're going to try and do the forum group option so we can keep everything on site.
Lucien was, and is, very fond of Kitcher, and he tended to indulge her happily. She was so pretty, so innocent, and had so little. Her so-called mate wanted to steal anything that caught his eye, but he didn't even think of pilfering something for her. She didn't even have one pretty dress. As a bit of a rogue himself, Lucien found Donner more pitiable than anything else, so he was never that irate. (Gaston, on the other hand, still steams at the mention of Donner's name.)
Even Izzy would have pulled Kitcher out of her plight if she could have. She felt so sorry for this little weasel with all kinds of capabilities hooked up with such a ne'er do well who was a tail hair from jail most of the time. Poor girl was pregnant, too, and Donner was always looking for five-finger (paw) discounts. (Yes, Izzy and Pugsy both would have been "aunties" to those kits.)
Izzy wanted to offer Kitcher a position on the Vixen's crew, but, as Pugsy aptly put it. "Foxes and weasels hooked up with worthless males gotta want out first. Pass the wrench, wouldcher?"

@ GreenRowan Hello there! -waves shyly- I hope I am not to late to join the fun? I just heard about WS today by talking to and this seems to be a great adventure to participate in. I am not really experienced in role-playing per se, but I love new challenges and getting to know new people :D I can also adapt quite easily and would love some more excitement in my Subeta routine. I run on European time though, I hope that isn't a problem? So if there is a free space in a team that would accept a rp newbie, I would really appreciate it!
