I didn't know either until I had started asking for Butterfly Bruise bites, and was told by users that I was already infected....then I saw the first stage of Lumi again.
So sorry the cure won't work for the new strains! That's just f'd up. Siyanna I hope you hear back soon. I'd think at least the programmers could make the new strains cureable so y'all could switch. Not that you get your wasted time back but you'd at least get one more strain.

it's just shit, really. it's only 21st... and they will be extending biting for one or two days longer than the actual end of the event, so I hope that I'll still be able to get a third skin, preferably one of the older ones. Still a bummer.
Yeah, I am having the same problem. I don't know about you guys, but I also can't opt out. I guess I can buy a cure, since I have one of the 2009's, but I really don't want to, because I don't feel like it should be necessary. =/

yep I have brainrot. AGAIN. Now instead of getting the items I wanted with my candy hearts, I get to spend it on the dang antivirus -_- I really wanted to get Blistered Hearts this time, but right after I posted on the forum to get bitten for blistered hearts, I suddenly get matched with an 'infection specialist', and have brainrot again. ugh this sucks. :/

I seem to have encountered this issue as well. My boobitus strain progressed into its final stage and turned into a skin, but for some reason I noticed that it still said I was infected when I posted on the forums. So I decided to take the Bottled Antilovirus to cure my infection, but even after signing up to receive a new infection, it says "no biting" underneath my HA. Really frustrating!
