The shoutbox basically can't handle when people with names that are too long post. Their name breaks their own message and their writing can't be seen. As far as I know this is an issue for the 4 years I've been a member. This issue could be fixed almost instantly by making the shoutbox just a little bit wider, or making the fonts of user names a little smaller to fit into the current shoutbox. Maybe this has been mentioned before, but it seems like such a simple fix and I thought I'd mention it again. Thanks for your time.
Can you provide an example of a name/what the shoutbox does when they post?
I believe it was updated so the name cuts off and doesn't cover the post.
Is there a way to add an image to a forum post? I'll take a few.
You can upload them to tinypic.com and then post the url here. :)
Okay, thank you. Next time I see it happen I'll take screenshots.
is a ping this silly @ symbol? -been here 4 years, this is like my 12th post-
Yup! There's also an icon on the top right of each post that when hovered over says "ping user" that will add the ping to the text box. :)
think I got a picture
any feedback?
I know the "refresh" trick. But for some reason that hasn't worked for me for the last 5 days. So everybody that has a long name has their text covered. Nothing I've done will make the username fix itself.
Anyway that's why I was just saying it would be a simple fix for the size of the sideboard to be increased by like half an inch, then there would never be textwrap from a user name ever. Seems easy enough to me, maybe there's some technical issues with implementing it though.
Ermmm, so I found a really bad offender... like... refreshing doesn't fix it.

This actually stretched the SB width-wise, since the icon and the UN were separated, and I've never seen that before. I think there needs to be a max character limit for UNs just like there is a min...
