[edit] Ok, so Imgur decided to use a combination of letters that gets filtered by the forums :P Let's try again: The knitted present was from the contest on here last year for making a decoration, the Santa was something Mum found in a box that we had when I was a kid, the stocking, pyramid and metal star that's hiding out of sight were bought from a Church sale this year, and of course you know where the pinecones and jumper came from ;)

Its hard to explain how I did it really... wish I could as it does make it more or less invisible. I use a needle to pull the yarn through the cluster like I said... where the stiches start.. there will be a row/chain where I hide the end? I know.. probably sounds horrible confusing. xD

Yeah the stitch markers get a little annoying but so much easer to keep track of the pattern repeats lol. aww what a cute tree :) and it looks so nice with the ornaments on it :D also love RP Paddy's look today, she seems to be celebrating something

they haven't met her. They've smelt her through the door, but we are keeping her inside Dad's office for 2 weeks. it helps her get used to being in doors, checks to make sure she has no viruses and that the fleas she had are dead (though they gave her a flea treatment) and gives the cats time to get used to her scent before being introduced which will help her acceptance.

I'll have to practise a bit when I finish the next square - maybe it's just my hand sewing skills being a bit lacking (hand sewing and me just don't get on!) ;)

hehe the gingerbread man is almost a third of the height of the tree :P Think I should've made him a bit smaller ;) I couldn't find a red background for today's HA, so I went with fireworks early for New Year ;)

That is a good idea. I did that with Pusur and Dexter as well... kept them in my bathroom, until they started wanted to break out the door everything I went in. I took that as a sign they were ready to explore. :P

There's a few charities over here that are asking for knitted hats and scarves to give to homeless people - not sure if there's anything like that over there, but a hat (or pair of socks) might be less stressful to make than another blanket! ;)

:nods: I was thinking about something faster and easier to make than a blanket. I am thinking more warm wool for premature babies in Tanzania. :)
