Have this buff active (15% off NPC shops), have a 20% discount card. Did some math. It's not a big deal, but the wording when you buy something with this buff active and a discount card in your inventory is wrong. It states that you got 15% off of the total price, but for those of us with discount cards, it's actually 15% off of your discount (In my case, and the upcoming math, 20%)

Tell me if I'm wrong!!

Had 61997sp, bought caramel sweetheart puff. Official price 5223. Paid 3551. Buff discount (as stated by the page when I bought it) 784.

5223*.8=4178 (20% off) 4178-784=3394 (20% off + 15% off) 4178*.85=3551 (15% off 20% off)

I hope it makes sense what I'm saying, and the way I've presented it. I -completely- understand if Subeta doesn't want the discounts stacking, but then the wording needs to be changed.

/edit The issue is that I am not receiving the discount I am being told I am receiving. That's all.

I believe it's because the discount card changes the price total so the 15% buff is calculated off what the new "total" is after the discount cards. It's still stacking the discounts as you're still getting the 15% off on top of the 20% off it's just not adding them together like 35% total.

If you think about it, it's very similar to on-sale items in stores with coupons, the items are on sale at 20% off and without coupons you would get them at 20% off the original price, but with coupons you can get an additional 15% off, that doesn't make the item 35% off the original. So the 15% is like a coupon being added to an already base discount/sale price.

Hopefully I've managed to explain this in a way that makes sense.

In addition, not sure this is a problem or bug, this might be more suited for the site feedback forum?

This is exactly what is happening :)

After 's edit, I believe he's saying that the 15% discount message is saying that he is getting the wrong amount off or something? In which case it should just say you saved 15% rather than 784 sP?

what I think is happening is that the 784 is in fact 15% off of the original price, but you're getting 20% off the original which brings it down to 4178 and then another 15% off of that price (not 784 sP off). I think the calculation in the description is what is throwing you off in which case I think it's better to just do the math on our own (if we wish to check the math) rather than being given a number in the description because for those who will check the math, it'll be too confusing.

So I think the problem really is that the text that goes along with the 15% buff is just confusing. I personally think I would be happy with the computer doing the math on it's own but not adding how much I'm saving because I can see that if the price is lets sat 2300 that if I pay 1955 that I can do my own math and see that 15% was taken off. I think because of the double math, the number the system gives out (for those who use the discount cards in addition to the buff). Although if you know of a way to input the correct data so it gives out the correct calculation (in addition to the discount card for those who hold it) then by all means go for it, it's just a lot of math that the system would need to calculate based on different conditions and might not be necessary to have the number.

As stated above, the buff is working as it should be. So this is not a bug.
