A bit of sad news in the efil household yesterday evening - we had to put one of our ratties, Natsu, to sleep. She wasn't in any pain, just old and had run out of steam so, despite it always being such a hard decision to take, the time was right.

She had so many nicknames; Fat Suit, Ratsu, Natty and Fatsu Natsu to name a few. Devoted to all her girls - sisters, (now all sadly passed), and baby cousins alike - she'd happily serve as a mattress and would always be the ratty chosen to accompany anyone going to the vets, due to her calm nature.

She was so affectionate and so sweet and so laid back.

Despite not being poor widows and orphans, NFL franchises have for the last 30 years or so tried to dip hard into the taxpayer pocket of Los Angeles. LA doesn't play that game, and as a result we get to see the best game every week instead of whatever game our nonexistent local franchise is playing no matter how dull.

They're attempting an end run around this by going to some smaller cities, and all of those deals sound pretty bad for the locals to me. In the interest of interesting games, and not granting favors to those who just don't need it, I hope they all fall through.

So sorry to hear , my daughter had a pet rat, as smart as any dog. They live such short lives!

Wineries! you have Wineries! Come summertime hubby and I plan to do a Fresno-Madera Wine tour. Milla, Moravia, LoMac..., lunch and a beer or two at Full Circle Brewing Company. Than back up to Nonini Winery, Engelmann Cellars and north to Madera.

So sorry for your loss. I had to put my kitty down recently, it hurts so much to say goodbye. Species doesn't matter, they fill our hearts regardless.

Im sorry. As another pet-parent in the lair, I totally get how much it hurts to have to say goodbye.

I don't know a thing about the NFL franchise / LA thing but for someone who's from a state where they're putting up a massive new stadium and also a huge Vikings/NFL fan I know the overall cost of said stadium is all but impossible for me to comprehend.

Did we need a new stadium after the Metrodome roof collapsed? Um.. I guess so but over a billion dollars worth of stadium? Yeeeeaaaaah, about that.. I can't see how but one things for sure, whether we need it or not, its too late now.

last year my youngest brother had a WoW party with his guild. I was stupid enough to offer to do the catering and it resulted in creating WoW Drinks and stuff. A fiend of mine is a bartender so he and my best friend (his girlfriend) came over and did all those cocktails and even did some without alcohol, since we had kids there and I do not drink any alcohol.

I also did a lot of creative stuff for decoration like candles with the characters drawn on the glass outside. And handmade tablecloth with the Horde sign on them. The people took the decorations home with them....

I even created a item hunt thing based on WoW quests ( and yes the people who gave the quests had the yellow ! above their head and after finishing the quest the yellow ?)

That's what the drinks remind me off. My hand created cocktail list.

If I ever do not need both jobs I'll do that - my own party catering - for children and special events.... I can dream - not that it will ever come true
