CHOCOLATE~~~ ( drool )

Drooooooll.. I know right!? But has a brilliant idea that I am going to put in play as soon as SBQ restocks. Make a chocolate cake and bake it in mini-muffin tins. That way I can have 1 and put the rest in the freezer. I'll know I have chocolate if I want it and that always curbs cravings.

Dang it Mama Bear ... If I had to give up sweets, I'd be looking for dentures right now! I totally feel your withdrawal pangs. I can't go into a dollar store without heading to the sweeties aisle. Have you thought of substituting some other form of nibblies...rice snack crackers are the bomb (they come in bite size bits with different shapes), or different flavored hummus with a veggie plate (love the red pepper one), or switch out the hummus for guacamole, or maybe trail mix and there's even a Mock Kettle Corn that is sweet n' salty without the pain (http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=71639).

Hi peoples...feeling a tad pouty because no vesnali yet and my right shift key doesn't work so I might just yank it out by the roots in a fit of keyboard rage!! :P

- my friend who has diabetes always used to (pre diabetes) make this creamy dessert with grapes...was so good...so after she was diagnosed I was concerned when she made the dessert but turns out she used splenda and I COULD NOT TELL THE DIFFERENCE! it was just as delish as when she used sugar...don't know if you have tried spenda or looked into it but my experience when she made that wonderful dessert was a good one :) Hope you get your new glasses soon sweetie.

Congratulations on the win! I saw that earlier today and wanted to congratulate you, but got distracted. I am so glad you mentioned it here so I could remember what I had wanted to do! Did you get an achievement or is this not your first?

I guess with the diabetes being the culpret behind my vision suddenly going from ok to looking at the world thru a smeary windshield it's a bit more complicated to get things fixed then I thought. The eye dr. said something about maybe having to send me to a specialist which scared me half to death but that's not for sure or anything yet. I'll find out what's going on come Monday afternoonand take it from there. My prayer is they can correct my vision with glasses and that'll be the end of that except for the eye exams annually or semi-annually, whatever they decide.

I had reeeeally been hoping that once my BS numbers got under control my vision would return to normal but that's not happening. My second hope was maybe contacts but that's not an option either with it being so far out of whack. Now my hope is no specialist necessary. Fingers crossed!

Only thing I dont have is splenda, my daughter insisted on truvia as my sugar substitute but it should be close to the same thing as splenda I would think, I'll google both of them to be sure.

I could eat those big purple or green grapes by the bag full if no one was looking! I bet I know that recipe, Im sure I do. I'll give it a try with truvia substituted in next time I make it.

Hey bears.. , sending good thoughts for you and hope you get your eyes settled. I use splenda some but have learned to do without the sugar on most things and now even some things seem too sweet. I have to watch my salt too but am not as good with that. I had some good news from the OBGYN though.. all tests and biopsies negative so am really relaxing and feeling good about now! , good luck on your keyboard operation! Sometimes they are easy to take apart and clean..sometimes hard. waves to hope all OK with you!
