morning gets nervous

today is the "goodbye" for the person who run our retirement home for the last 25 years. She's going to retire. There are two celebrations, one today with the senior citizens and another one next week.

And I've won the "honor" to do the Soloparts in all the songs we've fitted with new texts for her Today this means "Hallelujah" from Cohen - but with a text matched to her. So I am just freaking out a little bit. I know that all the senior citizens will join in the choir - we've rehearsed for quite a few times.

It still gives me the creeps to sing alone... I've hated that always.

Sorry I am so out of the loop. Thank you for all your wellness wishes for my mom! She is back home and not doing great. Maybe the hospital made it worse, maybe not. Who knows these things? Thanks for your words and sorry about your loss (favourite Aunt). Another one of the many things not to like about getting older... the older generation is elderly now. Hard to take sometimes. No one left of all my mom's and dad's siblings now, except one of my mother's sister in laws. A dear friend of my mom has alzheimer's and doesn't remember any of us. Was like our favourite aunt for so many years. Thanks for your comment about my mom being brave to get a stent put in. I think my mom didn't want it, but my sister and I were ambushed by the doctors and we then told my brother (who loves and trusts the medical staff) and then we all suggested my mom do it. Maybe we were wrong. shrug

Hopefully, being home will make her rally and improve. Will keep her in my thoughts.

thanks for the kind words, and sorry your mom not up to par yet... seems like the older we are the longer it takes to come back from illness and surgeries. Sending prayers for improvement soon!

how does she feel about it now, this would be the important part? My dad loved his stents once he got them, a weird position for a chiropractor TBH. But they really worked for him, even though he got some pumpbrain. OTOH me I'm like a cat I wanna hide safely in the dark closet after each survival of a doctor visit.

Oh my dear ...the aftermath of a heart attack does debilitate a person for some time. After my dad's major attack he had angioplasty on three of his blocked arteries. It took him months to bounce back. Prayers and positive thoughts for you and your sweet mom. ❤ 🌹

My neighbor did well with her stents i think she said she had 7 all together and she was fine.My dad had a triple bypass and lived many yrs without problems and angioplastys too.It does take a while to recover.He tried to get me to go to a chicken place for dinner after i got him out of hospital..LOL I laughed at him...i told him..you just had heart surgery probably because you over did all the greasy foods for so many yrs.and now you want more?....told him he has to start eating right...i took him home...Ha Ha.
