Well done on yesterday's achievements too ^^

I am a winter fan in general. As long as there's a few bright days here and there to keep the gloomies away ;) It's been quite a mild, wet winter so far here - Northern England. A few really lovely bright days though. I love seeing shoots of really early plants this time of year too - snowdrops, crocuses, narcissi etc.

My birthday is during winter too - mid-March - though I tend to thing of myself as a spring baby.

The best thing about winter, for me, is that spring is up next! My favourite season.

If you are referring ghosts, sad to say I don't believe them so I really doubt it. No offense to you or anyone that does but I think it's something else in the room.

I can agree there. I'm just a bit skeptical on ghosts.

@blackwolf_2009 I'm skeptical on a lot of things, like psychics, but ghosts are something that I can go either way on.

I see the ghost discussion and will weigh in with my opinion (MY opinion) (@blackwolf_2009 I think we've agreed to disagree on this already). Anyone who was part of the Love Truck and hosted awhile back remember the ghost story I told by the campfire? It wasn't a tall tale, it happened - the footprint house exists. I was there - trust me when I tell you there's no amount of money that would ever - and I mean EVER - get me to go down that road again. Ever. I've also seen a full bodied apparition that I never wanted to or need to see again. That experience was also totally unnecessary thank-you-very-much, not to mention burned into my mind as if it happened yesterday.

When you experience something supernatural, you can never un-experience it. Does something beyond this realm exist? Yes - and just like a skeptic will swear ghosts do not exist, my unwavering opinion is they most certainly do. I know what I saw and no one will ever convince me otherwise.

Winter.. the reason we ask ourselves why we live here when we know we wouldn't want to live anywhere else lol! What I won't miss about it?

Heating bills Static electricity Driving on ice Wearing several layers of clothing Having to wear socks/slippers all the friggin' time

What I'll miss?

The beauty of fresh fallen snow The crisp fresh air Icicles.. they're so pretty when the sun hits them just right The squirrels staying just out of reach when Im putting corn cobs on their feeder An excuse to drink coffee all day long ... Um.. why don't I have an avatar?

Oh wow, you're fast! I've been dying to get these out for a while, ha ha. Here, let me give you something for helping me out!

@blackwolf_2009 I am a nerd and I actually think about this entirely too often. I think I've decided it's not so much radiators and heat sinks, as people who are endothermic or exothermic. I am most definitely endothermic, my insides are always overheating and my skin is always cold (to me - my son cuddles up to me because he says I'm warm). Meanwhile, my son is exothermic, he is always freezing, but his skin is toasty warm! Good thing he's so darn cute, makes putting up with the smothering heat of cuddling totally bearable! <3 hehe

I'm with you Bryan, I'm all about the cold. I LOVE winter, and especially now that I live in the desert, I will miss it so! </3 There is only one thing I can think of okay, two things I can think of that are bothering me about winter:

1. I always forget to warm up the car for my kiddo before driving him to school. headdesk
2. Everyone else is always freezing and asking for the heat to be turned up. I'm like a crotchety old man with it, "YOU'LL RUN UP MY LIGHT BILL!" lol

What will I enjoy when it warms up? Nothing. v_v Here, 'warms up' means 120 and the end to going outside. Ever. Because we don't have AC in our car. T^T

From another perspective, as a person who grew up in the glory of all seasons and now lives in the desert, this is what I don't, and will never, miss about winter: *Digging my car out of the snow before work *The $300 oil bill (though its a $300 electric bill here for the AC) *Banging my head on the ice when I fall (Though I actually enjoy the slipping/falling myself and seeing others do the same!) *Idiots who pretend they aren't driving on slush and ice v_v ("Oh I've lived here all my life I know what I'm doing!" - No jackass, you're piloting a death machine and you may have lived here all your life, but if you knew what you were doing, you would actually be taking care, not trying to act bulletproof.)

What I miss about when it warms up- NATURE! I loved the mud and the new life and the smells on the wind. The cold and warm swirling together, even the flooding. It always flooded the same way in our town. I was lucky enough not to have that mean anything for any house I lived in, but it was just fantastic to see the repeated wonder and power of nature. I'd lean over the bridge and watch the turmoil in the previously meager stream of Hangman Creek, enjoy every sight, smell, and sensation walking through town, and shed the heavy coat and sweatshirt from winter. I especially loved not having to wear plastic bags in my boots anymore! Or boots at all for that matter XD I hated mine!! OMG AND THE FLOWERS!!!!!! Irises, tulips, bachelor buttons, wild flowers upon wild flowers upon wild flowers! ;^;

NO! No ghost stories DX lol My mom has always been very open about her... sensitivity to that stuff, and it used to fascinate me, until it started to... show up... for me to. So I started basically plugging my ears LALALALALAA until I stopped noticing. I'd deny anything like that was around, and it stopped bothering me. Where we are now, my mom keeps trying to tell me there is something going on, especially around my son, which scares/pisses me off so I just give her a look like STOP. I feel like if I say it's not there, it's not and if it is it will go away. I haven't noticed anything and I don't want her bombarding my poor kid with that, because I remember how terrifying it all was. :/

And that's fine. I'm not going to say you're right or wrong, say you can't believe or not. I will actually sit and listen to stories like that. I've watched ghost story shows before.

-lol- I tend not to get curled up to much but the gf does. Thing is she hates heat far more than I do and can't stand it in the least!

In this room at least the only time the heat gets turned on is if it's really unbearable. Otherwise we use stuff to try to warm ourselves up and stay there. It's actually starting to get to that point now so this is a good thing!

Digging out cars sucks but luckily we live near a person who will actually help dig out the drive way and things. So that's not a big problem now. :)

It's always fun and games until someone gets hurt, then it's hilarious. -lol-

People like that need to stay inside. >.>

When it starts to rain heavy or anything the yard turns into a swamp almost. So I can't say I enjoy that much. Watching water in a creek or something is fun but I can't say I enjoy flooding at all. Never had to deal with it besides the swamp thing but yeah.

The problem with your theory is that I was always cold but I did not produce heat, I absorbed it. If I sat down in a seat that someone had warmed up, it would be cold when I left it.
