So am I, guard duty in the ice and snow in Germany sucked. Never mine, I was ill-equipped should someone have challenged me. Even the CQ of the BN couldnt believe I was pulling guard duty without my gear. I was leaving out of country to ETS and i had turned in my weapon and LBE. He told me, my command were idiots, and I said tell me something I dont know.
yes supergirl is a blonde and scarlet witch has red hair
we never said commanders were smart lol

Maybe I should do a DC character.
Geez, I'm glad the army was never in my plans.

Shoot 1LT and up are usually dumber than a box of rocks. I had one in germany, that was asking privates simple minded questions about our work site, and he was supposed to be in charge. OCS just qualifies the majority of them, to just hold up their hair. I had more respect for the NCOs, but then they were on a case by case basis too.
I was in the Infantry so I know all about that lol and yea the army is not for everyone depends on your MOS

We had fun, too. Didnt we Duane. Gee infantry your poor guy they had it rough even in time of peace.
yea i had a blast for the time that I was in the army and the guys i was with are my brothers now we experienced something that will bring you close to these guys forever .... although during the Persian Gulf War when we were at war I lost 3 brothers ...

The military can forever influence your life. I didnt have the experience of war, but I had friendships that touched my life forever. I had a friendship with a guy that the other guys were always making a big deal of/jealous. Because we had to be thinking more of each other than brother and sister, the best of friends. Part ot it, was race related. Which was stupid as heck.
I was stationed in Fort Riley for my whole tour it was really awesome some guys that were with me were with me the whole tour some went to Korea then came back to fort riley i never left though except to go to war and reforger and NTC wow come to think about I think I was in the field more then I was in the actual post HOLY BAT CRAP BATMAN

I hated going to the field, I was bored. Being in supply we wanted around until someone needed something. We could have done that at our worksite. Plus we could have been accomplishing more of our day to day work onsite. My hubby, had one nco he worked with he couldnt shake the guy, he was like a bad habit. But you know how that is, if you have the same MOS you will most likely see each other again especially those that are lifers.
right I had an asshole for a sergeant for a while I finally asked him what his problem was with me he said he just didnt like me i said that was fine but i never did anything wrong so there was nothing he could do to me I lived off post in a house so it wasnt like i lived in the barracks where he could mess with me ....but he got moved to another unit after a few months and life went back to normal... later on about a year later we crossed paths again this time I was in charge of him and his unit man he felt like crap for mistreating me he actually apologized after that we became good friends lol

I had something similar happen to me, I had this female specialist. That dogged me out to this female sergeant all the time. A friend of mind who worked with the sergeant, told her she was wrong and as an NCO she shouldnt have been letting the specialist color her opinion of lower rank. Well I dont get mad I get even, opportunity presented it self and I made her (specialist) look like an arse. Nothing she could do about it. The sergeant after my friend talked to her, came around one day and told me. She was sorry for having judged my character wrong, that she should have been more professional and as a fellow human being she should have got to know me before she judged me. That took alot, and she got more respect from me for having come to me and apologized.
It always nice, when those that have wronged you unjustly can man/woman up and apologize. Plus you gain a good friend.
my situation worked out i felt bad for the other guy though he got into some trouble or something and lost his rank from E-6 to E-5 well I had gotten my E-5 by then too and when i went to work at his unit his Battalion Commander had told his unit whatever I said goes... I was from a different unit inspecting there vehicles cuz they couldnt keep up with there tracks so I had to leave my unit and go to theres everyday so i could get there tracks ready for the field after i did that I was sent to BNOC to get my E-6 but I got out before I got promoted

The demotion was probably very humbling for him. Sounds like you were their go to guy, who was knowledgable and could get things done. Speaks volumes of their chain of command. Chain of command loyal to the troops, the troops will work themselves to death. Their was a weak link in their unit.
Sounds nice...the wonderland of snow..we have it too and it is starting to get cold out here.In the -20"s now at night. Hello are you home yet? Scrolls i have aren't worth much.Any ones i should get? Hi there.Yes super girl was a blonde :)
