His paws were as big as the back of my hand. and growing. I just want to pet his fur off, his coat was spotted all over which will change as he matures. They were taking good care of him. I could have been there all day petting him and baby talking him, or let him down and let him run around. I have traveled alot around the world, started off going to the military after high school.

I have one of the new skins, havent taken it off it, not good to get a double of a skin, I was worried about that happening to me, hoping to get as many skins as I can, but I really want the galactic one back

It would be hard to walk away from that cub, beautiful. Have always been an arm chair traveler. Really wanted to travel when I was young and in my 20ties - the world was in a much better place then. Just happened that whenever I would save to go elsewhere something happened requiring the saved funds. Wish I had made choices that might have allowed me to travel - you did it nicely!

It was hard to walk away, but feel blessed for the time I did have with the cub. Most my travel came after I married my hubby who was also in the military. I love watching or reading National geographic magazine, so sad it recently got sold. I traveled to many lands as a kid reading magazine.

Oh God yes, National Geographic is the best magazine that ever was. As I child it took me on many journeys - while the Weekly Reader in school taught me about this USA in my Maine classroom.

Oh I loved the weekly reader. Gosh I always wanted to go to Maine.

Maine is lovely - I think you would really enjoy the coastal route. Maine is a very large state - one time my dad was up country hiking and walked into a town when he realized everyone was speaking French, he had crossed over into Canada, LOL! Another thing, one boat I missed was to get a lifetime subscription to National Geo when they offered it decades ago.

A subscription I should have bought and saved eery magazine. I bet your Dad was surprised and so were the Canadian, when they heard where he started.

I really want to see the coast of Maine and the light houses. I am sure, there are stories behind each one.

Ditto on that subscription - this is what everyone needs a spare room for, LOL! Dad was stunned and of course could not communicate as he only spoke English. Thank God Dad was the least menacing person so would not cause alarm by his presence! Yes, the Lighthouses are amazing - there is a bit of lore about them and some very nice links for them if you search it to see what appeals to you most. Did manage to get a Lighthouses T-shirt years ago at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston (where I live now).

The restaurant has an indoor and outdoor area, we were in the outdoor area. The lion cub was gentle and not aggressive, I can imagine not all are so gentle. The caretaker of the lion cub was walking around with him in his arms. But the lion cub seems almost to strong to be carried, and will soon demand to walk around.

Its a memory I will remember forever, and got more beauitful pictures besides the one I shared.
