Hello luvs, sorry for not being here for a few days, the wiring from the pole to the house for cable/internet needed upgrading so I've been without wi-fi and the ability to surf the web for a couple days. I couldn't wait any longer so Im at Sicca's for a bit today. BUT! I've made good use of the last few days. My godson was given his anishinaabe name last weekend so I found a beautiful eagle medallion pattern to bead him a choker (forgot to take a pic of that one) and while working on that my son mentioned he saw a beaded harley keychain online that he would love to have.

So we looked on his phone and those are peyote stitch, the most intimidating stitch I had ever seen and never tried because of it. Its been a long time since I've done any kind of bead work, I wasn't sure I could even find my beads lol, and after several (and I mean several!) failed attempts I actually figured out how to do peyote!

The Harley chain looks sweet! I feel you about being rural. We live on the bottom end of the Appalachians in a very rural Alabama county. We live an over an hr from the two biggest cities around. One is Huntsville AL where space camp is and the other is Chattanooga TN. Chattanooga was one of the first to offer cheap fiber optic city wide. So being this close to those cities I think helped with getting it to our area. Although it did take 4yrs to finish the county and we are dead last.

Oh and down here the clocks are set back 50yrs when it comes to most things. :(

I totally understand the insurance bit! I don't have insurance for my bun (it's like £15 a month and bun medicine isn't that expensive XD) and when she got sick last month my vet bills totalled £80 x.x but that's the first time she's been sick in 3 years so I still refuse the insurance XD

That is absolutely beautiful! Decades ago I used to do some basic bead work. My mother did it before I was born and I found one of her bead work patterns a few years back that I had buried away and now of course I can't find it.

Gorgeous work ....when you said peyote, I immediately thought of the sixties and the ahem "wacky cactus" (lol). The bead work is so intricate and has an "Easy Rider" vibe to it. Wicked cool Mama Bear! 🐻 ❤
