I did enjoy Easter (: I actually have two, I have "normal" easter and then I have my greek easter - they usually fall on different Sundays!

Oh, right!! Rings a bell the orthodox thing. Well, I have to admit all I know about Easter other people have is like the hunt of painted eggs for kids (and that's about it), which I am not sure if related to my "easter" that it's about the holy week and going to church during the 3 days of the Passion of Christ....which, I admit, I don't go to....

Oh, well it is similar to what you are describing. Usually Palm Sunday begins Holy Week and then there is the Midnight Liturgy on Saturday to signify the resurrection of Jesus, then it is Easter Sunday (where little kids go on egg hunts and get candy and stuff like that), ha.

But, I don't go to anything during Holy Week, I only go to Midnight Liturgy.

Oh, then it's kind of the same!! There's Palm Sunday here too. And it all starts with the ashes imposition (I think that's how it's called), in which they burn the palms from last year and they put a cross on your forehead with the ashes in order to remember that you come from ashes and you're going back to ashes. Yes, yes! :D

:O It's a very useful day because starting on ashes people start their fastings. My boyfriend doesn't drink alcohol during that time, most people don't eat "red meat" on Fridays.... Takes place 40 days before the main days so maybe you have something different on the same dates?

I hear you on the only Wednesday bit! This week (and last week) have been so busy work-wise, yet not much is getting done? Time is moving slow and fast all at the same confusion time.

We actually don't eat meat for the full 40 days of lent & some people even give up an additional thing for the 40 days!

Oh oh, also, we do not have ash wednesday, we have something else (I am not sure what it is called in english to be honest), but it symbolizes a "healing day" and you have holy oil placed on your body (forehead, cheeks, palms and the back of your hand) as you are being blessed -> so it is kind of similar I think.

Yea, I feel like when I am in school from 8 until 5, time goes by so slowly, but as soon as I get home to study and it already 10:30 at night! Crazy stuff.

Haha, mmm.... is Fish considered meat for you? I know it's not for jews! (Or at least that's what I was told) but vegans say it's totally meat (but that's not a religion so who knows?).

Holy oil sounds a lot prettier than the ashes. It sucks when the priests uses too much and your face is powdered on ashes hahaha
