I love Dollhouse so much, but am honestly a longtime Joss fangirl. :P I wish it hadn't been canceled because it could have done some very interesting things.

I liked it better on the rewatch as well... I forced myself to stick with it at first when it was first airing because I was having Fox + Firefly flashbacks and wanted to support it. Knowing Joss and his shows needing time to develop... I knew it would get better.

And I am about to rewatch BSG now. Again. For the IDEK time.

People, would anyone be so kind to explain to me the Custom Wearables market? (Or where I can read about my doubts)

My exact question is, are they really profitable for the seller?

I took a look at 3 shops in which you commission (because, let's be honest, I can't draw) from 3 "famous" people and prices are from 20-75 USD. Oh my God! I don't know about you guys but here's a lot of money.

So let's say I ask for a wig and pay like 50 USD for the art, then I have to pay, which gives me 6,000CSC plus I will also have to pay 5,000 CSC to get it on site (or is it 1,600?, I am confused about that part but let's think about the two options because idk.)

So now, let's say I'll only sell one batch, that means, 10 wigs on site, 6000+5000 or 6000+1600 are 11,000CSC and 7600 CSC respectively. In order to at least get back what I spend I'd have to sell each week for 1,100 CSC 760 CSC each.

Like, I don't get the profit. I mean, considering that I get full payment for each of the wigs...

Not very experienced with CWs, since I only got 2 released, and one of them was a free commission, but wigs and backgrounds are the most popular items, therefore they are more expensive to commission, but you can sell them at ~700 CSC. Also, you don't exactly need to pay to get them released if you're not going to make it private. Usually the artist gets a free slot too, so you have to charge at least 625 CSC each slot to get the price covered (10 slots in total, 2 reserved for you and artist, 8 left, 625x8=5000). The difference will get added to your CSC total once the item is approved. Then you can move the item to your shop, and say you sell it for 700 CSC, you'll get 200 CSC for each purchase.

If you want to profit, better make a lot/unlimited batches.

Okay, kind of makes sense. Not planning to ever submit one but who knows? Maybe I'll wing the lottery someday and will commission something :P

Keep an eye on free commissions though :P Since about 70% of the CW market is about female clothing and wigs, I don't get very involved, but I do purchase some backgrounds or other kind of items sometimes. And I don't seek commissions unless something really interests me or catches my attention. Like, right now I would like to get a commission for some earphones, since we have none. It's a small accessory, so it shouldn't be expensive, but still not sure. They might not be popular enough.

Are free commissions kind of usual? And we do have earphones, I mean.... some.

Not really. I know Violin does giveaways from time to time, but I think it's mostly of her own designs (which are beautiful, but not my cup of tea)

OMG!! Yeees, I saw the overrals and that was such a bad timing for whoever released them. I feel sorry for them because well..... they had a bad luck on that. If I had the CSC to comission something, I have no idea what I'd like... like I really really don't know, like the first one better be the best one and I'd probably go all Miró or Van Gogh or Monet and no one would then take me seriously xD

I know, CW are not cheap to create and things like that are a let down. Lol! I'd love to see that though :P You plan to do artist inspired backgrounds?

Yea, the sloth one is really cute. I just have no idea what kind of character I would make for that! I think I am going to try and make my pet Hymnal that awesome butterfly raccoon species (: I feel like, with my luck, it will take me a lot of zaps, even with the new system!

I actually have not watched BSG yet. Don't ask me how since my husband loves it and you/Mieke discuss it all the time! I will get there, I will I will!

I really like the fact that you can get a guaranteed experiment now, for much less than what an Experimental Dew costs.

The new experiments are nice. I like the regular version of the slothy one and the scribble version of the of the racoony one.

I am a bit disappointed at the removal of the original zapper. It was a nice option if you're zapping for non-experiment pets, and that it let you just have more zapping options.

I'm still trying to decide what to do with my open pet slot.
