I've actually been on Subeta for 8 years (just had the anniversary a week ago) and Salima at one point was ranked (the good old days).

Congrats on tier (still can't get my head around that you were ranked in the 50s and a tier )...

I definitely have spent more time on Subeta for the past week and it's nice seeing you around and active (the battle forum felt a little lonely a year ago, with so many people I didn't know).

My goal before Morostide is to get Mel to 4000/4000/6000 for Strength, Defense and Health. A lofty goal, but I'll try. Roughly 22 stats a day. I have a bunch of EXP saved, so if I BQ every day and give 20 stats each day through that and get at least 2 stats from the Training Center, I'll make it.

I should also devote an entire day to sitting down, turning the tv on for background and working Rahne through every challenger she can take on.

I have been on for "8 years, 5 months, 1 week, 4 days" according to my user dash, but I have taken numerous breaks. I've been pretty active the past two years or so though =)

I think I should be able to do it with what I have, but we'll see. It's hard to compare last year to this year.

Q: Has anyone tried out their new weapon?

- I should sell some stuff and try to save up for a Natasha too. Or OHS. With the ancestral rest blocking a good deal of physical, I think I can hold off on trying for an Ether for now. My armoury is very lacking.

- Your account is older than mine! I haven't really taken any 'breaks' from subeta, I have taken breaks from training and battling though (and by taking breaks I mean being lazy about). And the 2013-2014 year was pretty slow for me on subeta, too much RL stuff going on.

I've tried out the new weapon, imo probably more useful than Ether unless you are desperate for that 30 extra defense.

I've taken many breaks. took one in high school which was not too long after I joined, I picked back up for a few months in college for part of the saheric plot (I don't know why I didn't do more battling during that plot, honestly can't remember) and then I came back in like september or october of 2013.

That's good news about the new weapon. Since I don't have an Ether OR OHS OR Natasha. My weapons are sorely lacking. LOL.

7 years & 7 months. But I have pretty much been gone for 3.5 years until the past week. I would hop on every couple months an say hi then disappear again.

ether really isn't too necessary for most battles. so yeah it'll be nice to have :) the rare attack is like 45-50 light attack, 50% heal, 75 phys def, 40 light/dark def. 1%-2% depending on what Purge settles on... can really help out in clutch situations though.

Plus, december's CS challenger will be doing phys, light, and dark, judging by the icons we have remaining. and one cs challenger will be doing mostly phys coming up in the next 3 months. so this weapon will be great :)

So many battlers taking breaks and returning. I am back from a loooong break as well, lost interest back in 2011 and decided to take a peak at subeta about a month ago and I am addicted again :P. I can kick myself for not training all those years though. Back in 2011 Remira was very close to the top 100 and look where she is now. I can only imagine where she could have been had I not given up. I still remember that you were very active back then as well.

Time is just as important as stats in those sort of cases. You were willing to put the time in, and you ended up 5th place in the whole site!

I don't have any of those weapons either, but now have the Unrest. I already decided I'm skipping straight over Ether to the Natasha :) however the next chunk of change I get will be going to boosters. Theoretically a good portion of what I get from selling Kiyo prizes.

yeah I guess you are right. it still does make me feel insecure though in between the boss and the results.

Yeah I get being insecure. There's no way to really reassure yourself that you're gonna do well in a boss fight. But don't sell yourself short! :)

that's one of the things I am best at, selling myself short. like really I think that's my best skill in life.

also curious what will be the other "ways" to get shrieks this year...

...or are they gonna be retired forever?
