I had an alarm set for 8:50 that morning, was going to get up and do that wave if it killed me xD
LOL same here. My only issue was the first wave as I tried so hard to stay up till the end but I was so tired... I made sure to stick around for the last 2 right till the end.
I was up for all of them and got a ton of battles in. I just don't know if I was doing as much as everyone else was.
Same here. I know ... at least maybe 70% of my battles lasted longer than 5 rounds.... several lasting 10+ if I was lucky. I know for a fact only maybe like less than 7 battles were one-hit KO's. As best to my memory.
I was gone Friday and Saturday and only had one hour on Sunday to battle the boss. I battled as much as I could and was so happy to administer damage :D
Drama or llama? I'll take the llama :D
I just wish this event hadn't happened the weekend that I was moving. I realize that no one time is going to work for everyone, but it is pretty crappy that it went on while everyone is getting settled back into school instead of a month ago when the summertime blues were in full force. I wouldn't even count this as a "summer" event. I know the first day of fall isn't til a month from now, but in my books summer is over when school starts.
I'll just keep biding my time and training my pet, and hope that next time there's a boss battle I'll actually have some free time to try for a top prize.
Real talk though, boss battles are dumb and shouldn't be a thing.

I really didn't count too much. Some were long and others were really short. I got crits sometimes... Too many variables and nothing but inaccurate guesses.
Too bad you were gone :( I cleared my schedule so I could battle xD
I know you put in the work and pretty sure it paid off for you. I've seen all your efforts (well in a sense, seeing all the losses you racked up and just how much your pet has come along over the last 2+ years) So yeah pretty darn sure you're in the top 50, maybe even top 25!
I wish I could have done that. I also didn't expect it to go so fast. The rest of the plot went so slowly and one of my friends text me and said, where are you? Battle time! but I wasn't home so what could I do? I thought I had missed it all so, my bright side is I got to battle.
Drama or llama? I'll take the llama :D
If the staff wants to post their own damage or whatever that's fine but I don't agree with "throwing people bones". Just make everyone wait.
I want to know my damage to and if I made it getting the nice weapon too. I only managed to get some battles in with the first boss, missed the 2nd boss due to timezones and managed to beat up the last boss near the end.
My battles lasted awhile but still with just over 100 losses I doubt it be enough. I just don't know anymore and I didn't average out the damage like some of you did.
Regarding Tatuvichwa art, I just love it and the colours and the loot, very nice.
Thank you [Kiss=smilesnz] [Dance=smilesnz] [Flower=smilesnz]
I am sure I made top 50, my average would be very low if I didn't... Just hoping it's pretty high xD
I am kinda surprised how fast it went too but if it went any slower I woulda gone crazy xD
the first wave was out at 1pm my time, the second was at 7 am, so that was cool and I'm really grateful that I caught both of them. the last one was at 2am. My brain laughed at me when I thought about setting an alarm to catch the final stage. :P
preach. until we've got enough programmers or w/e to do something like mentioned a few pages back, boss battles are going to be the bane of my battling experience. I know some battlers like the competition/being glued to their chairs for hours at a time, and i'm not trying to shit on anyone's idea of a good time, but.. jeebus. So not worth the stress.
- Ooo that is exciting! Thank you. I feel so loved.
- lol, if I made it, I'm sure you did. Also, I am totes Canberry's favourite, we met at one of the meet ups, we are RL name buddies :P (she probably doesn't remember me)
8pm/2pm/9am for me Lucked out for timezones but I was gunna wake up for whatever time it came out
XD Yeah I am not worried about it but I really wanna know my damage. Me and Ariel were talking about doing a meetup where I live but I know one other person who lives here and I just met them on subeta the other day xD
LOL all the Subeta times were my times. I think really I missed the last 2 hours of the first wave because it was 3am when I went to bed and the last wave ended around 5am.
- Where you at? I'm sure there are more people where you are than there are where I am now. I am only one timezone away from you, that's close right? I moved away from Toronto area last year (aforementioned move during the tempest event) The only people I know near here on subeta now are the two friends that I introduced to the site, and they don't come on very often, as well as we meet up anyway. We should just totally call ourselves a subeta meet up and demand achieves and prizes.
I'm in southern arizona, my time zone changes from -3 to -2 depending on if it's dst elsewhere or not, we don't do dst. I really doubt many people are here, seems like most are in cali.
come to australia for meetup. is good. we have beaches, spring's on its way, and the dropbear problem is virtually nonexistent now that the landsharks are invading!
-goes to backread- Yeah, I agree with what they said. I know nothing about coding, so I don't know the alternative possibilities from that perspective. But from a practicality standpoint, I think they should do achievement prizes. 25k damage gets you such and such. 5m+ damage gets you the top drop. Or whatever numbers they want to assign to it. Maybe 7.5m for next time, since it seems like the collective we keeps amping up our efforts. That way you know where you are and what you have to do to get what you want. And have a boss that just replenishes continuously when it reaches zero, instead of releasing one for this or that time zone. Release it for a week, let people do their thing, warn us when it's on its last regeneration. No prize tallying because the achievements handed out prizes as people reached them.
