Hopefully with enough testing or BA's help can shed some light on the percentage of blessing activating. It looks like the pet needs to be above a certain number of stats or tier to get the average of 3 or 4 turns. The type of stats doesn't seem to matter.

Yep, the heal icon has always been broken for blessings/curses. I'm not sure how it happened but Grace broke it, I'm sure xD
