Yeah, they're filler at best really. With my health so high I'm usually better off just using my Skelly Scroll to heal off the damage reliably. I guess they're still handy for small pets, but blocking 15 icons is pointless as I scale up on Prodigy.

I am only guessing that cobalts and sancts have a chance of blocking 15 instead of a higher number is because scrolls can be applied to pets of all tiers. In tiers 6 and under, a block of 15 of a single icon type is a luxury. In tiers 7 and 8, that still isn't too shabby. It is probably there for balancing issues in tier 9 (as well as the less offense based tier 10/11 challengers). 15 is awfully low for tier 12 and the more offense based tier 10/11 challengers (if an ether can't completely block Mad Scientist's physical from lab coat x2, then a 15 block of physical will do jack squat).

As much as Sancts cost, they should scale to block more in higher tiers -.- Not Cobalts I guess, since they're only 5m.

I just unlocked Mama Mush! So I'm guessing it's from being lunged at so many times when failing at exploring the Polar Fields? What a consolation prize :) Too bad I won't be ready to fight her for a few more tiers.

-in-Sand It is a random occurrence when you reach Mama Mush in the Ice Fields without having gotten a cookie. With that in mind, she is widely considered to be one of the most frustrating challengers to unlock. Congrats on getting her though!

Of course, 5m is just the upfront cost. :P 8AP is going to cost ~77m at ~600k an int booster. That's massive for an unreliable, single use blocker and would prevent them being broken in lower tiers. You'd be better going for Forj's scroll or Lucky Scroll in terms of 'broken' imo. It'd be nice if they could scale but scrolls are sadly so limited in coding.

just have a "weak/basic" version, then have a "strong version," like a Cobalt v2

and make the stronger version cost more double AP or whatever to justify its higher potential blocking rate. (eg make it do 45 or 75 instead of 15 or 75 or whatever BAs deem reasonable/balanced)

I recently moved all my cobalts onto my T8 because I realized how useless they were on my T12. When you get a better heal from a 5% healing scroll than the HP you would have save by blocking 15 of 5 elements, you know it's time to retire them.

Well if only BQs listened. They were pretty awesome just for the WRONG pet. Ha-ha today was Lord Miasma's day for upfront BQs but it seems I kept getting all the challengers he couldn't beat (thus having Lhyven and Dameon pick up the slack) But I broke down my BQ day today... shows how much I lack a life:
