The weapons that are called godlies are the ones that are considered the strongest. They usually deal a ton of damage, full block at least one icon (or block 100 of that icon now that full blocks have been removed) and heal a lot (around 10%). The SoSS is a godly, it stands for Sword of the Seven Seas: Ohter godlies are: Sandreaver, Swashbuckle, The Ether, Cronus Blade, Manifesting Weapon, Keiths Ultimate Freezewand of Doom, Natasha, Cronus Blade and Wrath Of Kahaleitzli. I probably missed some. Some of them are nearly unobtainable.

The only reason the god weapons are rarely traded is that people rarely need them, and people that have them rarely need to sell them. There are very very few items that are just not for sale on subeta, and most of them are not old god weapons.

4 years ago people said that it was impossible to buy god weapons, but would go on saying that they were only worth 400-600mil. So when I decided I wanted an Ostaff I went out and offerered 850mil for one, and that set off a flurry of sales that ended up having me sell that Ostaff for 1.85bil, and I did the same thing with a few other high end weapons.

All it would take to set that kind of market off again would be to have a small new influx of players, and to have those players make the same kind of offers. People don't realize how much inflation has happened over the years. Back when I bought Ostaff for 850mil, CSC was 7mil/500. With CSC now at 25mil, that should put Ostaff at 3bil minimum, but I think that trade was always undervalued. Because by the time I made the 1.85bil sale, CSC was valued at around 10-12mil/500, which would put it at more like 4.6bil if you take inflation from that time point. And that is before you take into account the fact that several Ostaff's have likely ended up in the hands of people who really don't need to sell them, and could demand a premium over the price of simple inflation, but also doesn't take into account the addition of hook swords to be a solid competitor to Ostaff, ect.

Having old godlies also doesn't mean reaching the top in battling. Your best weapon will always remain your pet. Godlies are mostly for collecting.

I agree quests are boring and tedious. But I don't know how else to make sP besides games which I find even more boring than quests. How do you make sP? I hope your getting a nice stockpile of amulets and that the mage is nice to you! I got 5 again from quentin - 1 tome! You should at least try quentins quests, he's been pretty generous with amulets for the last week or so! ^_^

Just cleaned up all the challengers bar Baenwurath and the Paramnesias, finally! Up to 1.14m EXP with BQs to do today. Waiting for more info on speed and decisions to be made before I spend it.

cough I stay poor. lmao But when I need monies, I just sell hoard of stuff that I just dont use/want anymore. I hope so. I have about 100 to turn in right now, but still have a bunch of opps to beat. Nice snags. :) Ugh... I guess I will try those quests. :P

What have ya'll released in place of old godlies, that defeat certain top opps??? Come on, give some specifics. I am sure we are all dying to know. :p Cause I sure have seen people asking to borrow old godlies, to beat those biggies. I mean no sarcasm here, at all. I really would like to know what you think works.

The only ones, off the top of my head, would be M-Staff and Sandreaver. I believe(?) we don't have a full (not full but you know what I mean) light or ice blocking dual duty T11. DGR is a halfway decent light blocker, but that's like comparing PoBow to Natasha, or Wrath of K. You might be able to argue that Sandreaver is only 4(?) years old, so I guess it's just M-Staff that is really needed, in that context.

I managed 6 wins on baenwurath and probably could have got at least one or two more, without potions pylonics etc with an old capped pet using natasha cronus and jaxon staff in attack mode (which has crap for defense). I wager that if my str and def were swapped i coulda got near 10 wins like that without many losses.

That being said, if I could have one weapon, it'd be ostaff. I could get soooo much use out of that :D. That blessing...
