Yeah that's what I thought about the pill box, wasn't sure if it was infinite or not. Only a minor benefit though.
I'd probably prefer the reviver to the somas, as I have neither. I wasn't here for the RD

- Yes, the RoTL definitely has more utility than the soma tablets. I already had the Reviver from the first RD.

I have soma and RotL -- both are almost always equipped for any pet that is T5 or higher. I think I would even list both on a top 10 list of best weapons and they are both favs. If I had to choose one as the better weapon, I believe I would actually choose soma. Random blessing and curse, blast and sometimes it even steals. I think more unique/harder to replace than RotL. Others who have both may feel differently, but if you can get them next time there's a drive, I would recommend them.

That would be the only way I would get them. I do want to get them but they are overpriced.

I only blast on a few challengers (sophie, deadroot, meatslab, maybe another one or two I am forgetting), so I wouldn't have mine equipped at all times if I had one. Some people blast on all challengers, but some I find it more of a hinderance and a waste of turn. Careapier is a great example of useless blasting.

True, there is no weapon that is always equipped -- exceptions to every rule and such. I often find it essential to blast (or double blast) to withstand foes who have hard hitting weapons so I can stay in the game longer. What can I say? I'm a wuss. Maybe with KT getting all sorts of health (am dedicating the rest of the month for all his exp to go to HP) he'll rely on them less… :) (and you're right, like most any good weapon -- the price is obscene!)

I don't blast at all during BQs so my default set has four attackers in it, it only is changed where I swap my staff for skelly staff against pink kitty and crawdude

- I don't blast much, my RB is in my default set, I'll probably switch it out with the soma now, but with new BQs, I also like to blast against Crawbeast (try to get one of his crazy healing items) and USF (try to get the tangled curls) Wyrmgear is one that I will also occasionally blast at, trying to get his stupid Sonic Boom out of the way. I also always blast one of Chase's weapons, cus he's a jerk, and I like messing with him.

None of those I blast against, though I can see why you do. If it weren't so random it might be different :p

I would compare the Soma Tablets to the Truth Serum rather than the blaster. The blaster doesn't take the stealer slot, so it can be used with either the Soma or the Truth Serum. Also the Soma has a chance to get a random blessing in addition to the random curse, AND it has a chance to freeze, AND it has a chance to steal.

- The soma tablets would be better than the TS now. I hardly use my TS anymore. But at the time I got the TS over the Soma tablets because the best strategy against a lot of the higher end opponents was to steal their weapons, and use them against them, at which point the TS was invaluable because it could steal two weapons. (mine is actually still modded with the thief baguette so that sometimes it would steal three) unfortunately most of those stealing strategies don't work anymore because almost everyone's weapons are -100% if you use them, or have stealing disabled. I think the only opponent that steal and use against strategy works against, and is relevant again thanks to new BQs, is the Scary Singer.
The Truth Serum is kind of a relic now, it can be stored away with a bunch of other weapons that are no longer useful or relevant, like the legendaries and the FoRR sets.

I was comparing it to the blackmoons hand blaster. I am not arguing that somas are an upgrade and can be useful. I am really just arguing their value and how useful they really are. Comparing somas and truth serum can be misleading because many challengers have stealing disabled, making truth serum useless and somas still blast, so somas would be much better in that situation. Very few instances let truth serum really shine, but there is lich lord.

I used to have more your line of thinking, but after fighting imp opponents and getting hit by recycled wad a few times, I've changed my opinion. Blasting can make a huge difference, even if you dont hit the right weapon, it can give you that one turn you need to heal back up so you dont have to use your full healer, or it can give you 5+ free turns cause RNG. I blast against anyone with an annoying weapon now, when i'm having trouble.

Certain imp challengers, yes. Careapier for example, it is a complete waste. The higher end, long battle challengers, blasting proves useful. None of those are in bqs though.

- I'm with Mike. I just got my second win on the scientist, and I got frozen when she had about 5k health left, and I was at about half health, and I thought for sure I was done for, then she used the recycle wad and the pill box the same turn! I was able to turn the battle around and win thanks to that!

Mutant scientist is another I think blasting is necessary on, especially if you get her healer thingy. I think that's the weapon I'm thinking is good l for her? I haven't tried against her much honestly.

Good luck finishing things up with pet 3. I still need some wins with pets 3 and 4 but I gotta rethink how I'm going to go about doing that. For now pet 5 needed a little more push into battles.
