AUGH. This is so annoying! I'm playing a game of dodge the crits here. I could beat him fairly easily if not for him doing 7k damage every so often. But I'd have to have...5600 speed to keep him from critting me at this point.

Fuck speed. And the entire stupid crit system. And this challenger. And the stat cap.

Really starting to wonder why I put myself through this. I'm actually legitimately starting to hate battling. :/

Speed is a little whacked out against him though. My health is 7.3k which compared to others at like 8.5k makes a big difference...but my speed is at 4.8k and I get a ridiculous amount of crits/avoid hits quite well.

I know castle is being a bitch to for the 5th win too :c

Eh, I've been trying on and off all day. Just needed to vent a bit.

Oh you son of a... You have over 100k hp, is that really necessary? Insult added to injury right there. [edit] It's not just the castle, or the stat cap either. I feel like the whole system has just worn me down. I don't care about BQing every day. I don't care about training 4 more pets exactly like the first, because the first's build is really the only viable option. I don't care about spending billions trying out different builds that are ultimately going to fall short anyway. I don't care about boss battles. Actually that's not true, I despise boss battles. The only thing that keeps me battling is plots. I think outside of plots, I may just end up retiring soon.

What would renew your interest though besides plots? Hmm it's understandable after so many years of doing the same thing it does get tiresome and boring.

See that's the problem. I don't know really. There's...no payoff. I mean, like right now I'm battling to the point of tearing my hair out for...a weapon that, frankly, sucks. And even when there is a good prize at stake it's just click two weapons and a scroll x50000.

Honestly, as much as I hate the minion battling thing, I think it's a better system. There's strategy. There's rationing your moves and planning ahead. There's offense and defense and healing, buffs and debuffs, and they're all different, separate things, not shoved onto a single move/weapon. And there's no rng crap to deal with. I feel like the only thing that'd bring me back around is a complete overhaul of the system.

You know it would be interesting if they did a side project and tried that out with pets instead of minions. I don't have the chance to try out the Minion battling but it sounds pretty neat. Who knows maybe they could work something out in the future... if it's even possible.

For what it's worth, I would also love it if crits didn't exist either. They add way too much luck to the system. Besides, opponents can still be a good challenge without critical hits if they wanted them too. I mean, that's why we have challengers like Slaglord, right?

What about slaglord? He didn't ever do damage to me...

this has actually been bugging me a lot lately. we're meant to earn the super cool weapons by actually battling, but the hardest challenger on site drops a seriously substandard weapon. a few of the impossible guys do the same thing - prodigy drops a frigging tier 8 weapon and chase isn't much better with his crappy no-heal t10 whip. I know we get useful stuff in the way of MuSci and Meatslab's drops, but it'd be nice to see some consistency with the weapon quality from the other big hitters, too.

@ cartel I agree. Make them achievement prizes if they worry the weapons will devalue. Like with Baal you can only earn one per account. That keeps it nice and valuable and it's /useful/. It is weird to see challengers drop weapons well below their own tier... sure some of them scale but... not by much. [edit] Thank You for bringing me back my item! To thank you, here is a reward.
