You are definitely on the right track. And I know what you mean! I just finished my quests so I think I might disappear for a bit.

Hmm, I like it once I got used to it. It's got it's perks as long as you have good templates set up. I was fortunate enough to come into this job working alongside my boyfriend who's been here 5+ years and has a lot of experience in it.

For drawing I prefer the crispness of the lines and stuff in Sai. I am sure I could do the same with Photoshop but I never figured it out and when I would draw in it I always felt like my lineart was super blurry and not very good. I think it's just a matter of what you're most comfortable with but once I began using Sai and found brush settings I liked from other artists I didn't want to go back. I do use Photoshop for finishing touches like when I want to add an outline or something to make my drawing look like a sticker or something hehe. Also I usually add my signature in PS with the text tool or whatnot.. But I do the drawing, coloring and everything else in Sai. Im sure if I had some time and knowhow I could do the same in PS but I never really wanted to go back to it, even if I have a license for it through work now.

The store I worked for was one of those "we go above and beyond" type stores so yeah.. The one I was at before that I cashiered and bagged everything even gigantic orders so it took ages. @.@

Hopefully you can find somewhere you really want to work at, long-term. Though wasn't your end goal to work more into the management, and less in the spa-side?

Yup, the content varies by country, but you can use ahem, tools, to change that ;) I've been watching a few things on American netflix, because it's the best.

I'll definitely see the next one too. It almost sounds like I didn't like the last one - but I really did. I have a tendency to pick everything apart, even when I like it :P

Trust me, I didn't know crap about templates either when I started.. It's just making sure it will print at the right size, has margins etc... I do find Sai more friendly myself. Mmhm. Frequently when upholding company policy the person in charge that day / manager would come and override it.. Which to be fair yes is their call, but it makes the customer shit on you more for telling them no when they came over and said yes. :D

Needless to say, I prefer a job like this. I will stay here a while to get experience and then I will build that resume & look elsewhere for similar work.. Because I am NOT going back to Fast Food or Retail again if I can help it!!! T____T

^^ Hi Pac! I'm alright, excited because I just heard it's going to snow this weekend some more. My anniversary was awesome. We went out to have steak for dinner and I picked something different than usual.. I am a Ribeye girl but this time I was like "Prime Rib! That sounds FANCY!" And it was. So..very..delicious. ; ; I was just happy to spend a day out with him by ourselves. We browsed some shops and had dinner, that's all I really need. ^^
