A Mickey Christmas Carol is basically Dicken's A Christmas Carol, but way less mopey and depressing. Also donald duck makes a bomb scrooge ;)

I plan to do absolutely nothing on my break. Sit around and watch netflix and bake christmas treats basically. Maybe go to the gym, since I'll be eating so much junk :P

I think you look very festive and not at all eyesore-ish. I was considering wearing that sweater. But I bought this Mrs Claus dress months ago and have been waiting for Lumi to use it :D (The real pain of Christmas is the constant christmas carols. I like most of them standalone, but playing them 24/7 on the radio from November onward is a bit much!)

I'm pretty good about finishing books I start, unless they're really awful and tbh, some Dickens are pretty dense and very dated. Not a popular opinion, but I think a lot of old 'classics' are very dull and tedious to get through. I like contemporary lit.

Yep, I'll be spending a big chunk of the holidays with extended family :) It'll be nice not to have to rush back after to get back to work. I'll have some time to recover from the enormous amounts of grandma's cooking :P

Thanks for the birthday wishes :D Yep, it's my birthday, I've survived another orbit around the sun ;) I had the pleasure of meeting Terry Pratchett when he did his book tour for Going Postal, and was very very sad when I heard of his passing. I think I own almost all of his Discworld novels honestly. I got into Gaiman with his collaboration book with Pratchett Good Omens. If you haven't read that book, you really really should. I have a battered copy that I lend out because I don't want people to borrow my nice hardcover, but I want them to read it, ya know? So tonight my son is taking me out to dinner after work, so this should be a good evening.

So....I have an interview tomorrow! It's a second interview for the activities coordinator position at the nursing home. I was surprised to get the call this morning since it's been a few weeks since my last interview there and I never heard back.
