I'm not so much an avid battler, but I do enjoy it :D I'm still tier 3 in all honesty because I get so easily distracted >///< Getting closer to 4 though ^-^ I'll be cheering you on to tier 7!!! What's your favorite thing about battling?

Love the background on that avatar. So pretty and sparkly. stares

Lau is working up to tier 4, too :) Remembering to set the alerts for training is a big helper for me. I can forget about them all day, if I don't remember to set an alert.

Hmm, my favourite thing. I'm not sure. I like strategy games, and it kind of fits with that. The feeling of accomplishment as you build a stronger pet that can beat harder enemies is nice, too. It's something pass the time, that I find fun, most of all, I guess!

Homemade hummus sounds good :) How do you make that? Grind up the chickpeas yourself?

I may vanish on you ;n; I hope not but I'm starting to get those feels

Isn't it gorgeous!? I was just checking in to let you all know I was alive and what was going on. Then I saw it O-O Too pretty to pass up XDD I get what you're saying on the strategy and challenge. It's all over just a fun way to spend time :D Are you focusing on one pet or training more than one?

... still jealous of your boyfriend for all the yummy meals you can make o-o Things have been improving recently and I'm hopeful this unpleasantness will only last a couple more weeks ^-^ hugs Missed talking to you :D How have things been going for you?

Yeah! Just a can of chickpeas, some salt, garlic, oil and tahini. My co-worker made some the other day and I had some and it was awesome so I was inspired to make my own.. except now we have a TON of stuff in the fridge. Hummus, this bean salad I just made, and a couscous salad that Nathan made yesterday. So much food.

Things have been good! Got a long weekend this past weekend which I was so happy about!

I disappear all the time without a word too. Work and life and blah. No worries, everyone has those days ;)

It really is eye catching. Those colours. I so don't need more CWs right now though. I'm assuming it's one; it looks like one anyway.

All my training goes into one pet. Waaay too much effort to try and train multiple ones for me. I can't be bothered, honestly!

That does sound quite easy! Homemade is almost always better, so I'm not surprised it was so good. I love hummus with flatbread. Yum.

Having leftovers can be good if you feel like having a lazy lunch without actually putting in effort :)

I had it with tostitos. Yum, yum, yum. Nathan and I are trying to be healthier. He's going to join goodlife this week and we're going to go to a spin class together on Thursday mornings before work and try to go at least 1 more time a week together. I've also been slowing cutting out pre-packaged foods and making what I can myself. I haven't bought a loaf of bread since I got a breadmaker last year. I just make it! And now I'm going to just make us hummus instead of buying it xD

Yeah we'll be eating these salads all week for lunches for sure.

That's an awesome initiative to undertake :) I'm sure it'll be good for you both. I wish I ate a lot healthier. Unfortunately, my eating habits are built 90% around convenience - grabbing food on the way to work, etc.

Going to the gym together also sounds like a good idea. It's easier to stick with it if you have someone going with you. It feels more like a commitment, and you can't just 'not feel like it' if another person is counting on you to go :P Did he have another gym's membership before, or it he a gym newbie?

Nate's been overweight the whole time we've been dating and came to me last week and said he's finally tired of being fat. I think it took a lot for him to say it out loud and then this weekend he said he's ready to join the gym. So my commitment to him was that I'd get up early once a week and go to the gym with him. He used to spin with his mom once a week and he lost like 30lbs doing it.. so I imagine that could happen again.

He had a membership before, but cancelled it a while ago.

Yeah, that can be a tough thing for anyone to say aloud. There's embarrassment or shame or whatever. But the important thing is that he wants to do something about it - that takes bravery and a commitment.

Guys tend to lose weight a lot easier than girls, so if he's got it set in his mind he's going to slim down, I'm sure he will :)

Yeah I'm super jealous! He'll definitely lose a lot quickly. I've been trying for like 2 years and haven't lost a thing xP

Yay! Bathroom is CLEAN.

Ditto. I thought when I joined a gym and started going regularly, I'd start dropping pounds and feel fabulous. Not so much. I weigh pretty much exactly the same as before. I do feel like I'm being healthier though.

It also probably doesn't help that I hover right between average and overweight for my height. There's enough extra weight for me to be extra squishy, but little enough that it's hard as hell to shed.

I think your diet has to be on point, even if you exercise. One or the other isn't enough. Maybe with this new healthy food kick, you'll start seeing some results?

You and I are kindred spirits. I hover around the same as well.

Diet is 80% of it, apparently. Which makes total sense as to why I haven't lost a thing.

It seems that way! We have a lot in common with our exercise and health habits, down to joining the same gym and going to similar classes :P Granted it's a huge national chain, but who's counting.

Why does food have to be so delicious? It's so unfair that one of the best things in life leads directly to bad health. I'm still waiting to be introduced to all this super healthy, good-for-you food that is also easy and delicious that people talk about.

It doesn't exist xP People who say it does are LYING.

I have a softball game tonight so that's my activity for this evening.. but it's currently POURING. I HATE playing in the rain. :/

I hang onto my hope with a few things - like salmon. It's yummy, but fish is good for you, isn't it? Even slathered in sauce... right? shifty eyes

That really doesn't sound fun. Your team has a rain or shine policy? You'd think no one would want to play in the rain :/ It's funny, it's bright and sunny and warm here though they were forecasting rain all day.

We're having Spaghetti Squash tonight with pesto cream sauce. I wanted creamy pasta, so this is the "healthy" way to have it. I'll report back and let you know if it lives up to what I hope it is xP

Rain or shine. Lightning is the only reason that we wouldn't play. I just emailed the other team captain and he said we're still good to go. Bleh.

I've had squash as pasta before, and it's not bad! Not the same as pasta-pasta, but pretty good in it's own way. Another 'healthy' way to do pasta is with whole wheat pasta. Though I think the texture seems a bit off, personally. Not sure that whole wheat is really that much better for you though.

That sucks. I mean, it would suck a lot of the fun out of it, if everyone's sopping and miserable. How did you come about joining a softball team anyway? I love playing sports (watching not so much) but I wouldn't know where to go about joining a local team.
