I have consulted the all time geek of star trek (that I know, though I'm sure there are others out there who are bigger geeks than he) and asked what episode that quote comes from, and apparently "The word is no. I am therefore going anyway." is not from a TV episode.

I'm told by that it's from one of the movies, I believe he said it was the third one, but I've already forgotten. I pinged him, so he can tell you all himself, if he cares to. So I've either embarrassed him by pinging him, or he'll be pleased that I credited him with finding the answer to my question. Finally, I slept well last night. YES!!

perhaps exaggerates the depth of my Trek knowledge. I resorted to Google to figure out which film it was, and I, too, thought it was an episode to begin with since the images Gryphon was using were from TOS. Cerrewyn does not underestimate the depth of my Trek enthusiasm because once I realized I did not know where the quote came from I then HAD to know. I may have had to watch all of the episodes again in search of it if Google had not coughed up the answer. That would have been a wild tribble . . . erm, goose . . . chase. o.O

But here's my curious question--as the person selecting the quotation, didn't Gryphon already know where it had come from?
