Maleficent doesn't know anything about love, or kindness, or the joy of helping others. You know, sometimes I don't think she's really very happy.

You can't see the stars, love. That's the ceiling. Also, it's day.
Gryphon - those are two of my very most favorite villains and I swear this is the hardest choice. Last year had some hard ones too I remember haha.

A little trivia: The Disney animated version of Sleeping Beauty premiered 2/6/1959 in Brazil, and while I was going to see many movies at that time in my life (I was 3 in February of 59 and turned 4 that year in June) I never saw Sleeping Beauty as a child. Perhaps my mother thought it was too scary. It probably would have been showing in the small town where I lived (in Wisconsin) sometime in 1960, since that theatre never ran movies til they had been out a long time.
However, when I was 24 and on my Honeymoon I saw that movie--with my husband who was as much a cinephile as I am--on a quiet winter Sunday afternoon (12/30/79 to be exact). We were staying in a small, but somewhat famous place in Wisconsin called Baraboo--home of the Circus World Museum. The theatre was old and ornate. There were not many people there, but all were children and their parents other than the two of us.
I remember thinking that Maleficent was totally scary and knew that if I'd seen that movie when I was a child I'd have been terrified!! The role of Maleficent was voiced by Eleanor Audley who was known for her "chilling voice." She also voiced the wicked stepmother in Disney's Cinderella (1950). Throughout her career the "stage-trained actress specialized in snobbish society matron types." (info on Eleanor Audley from IMDB)

The way some people spell makes me wonder about their pronunciation. My CW shop, and my ping group
