I can only tell you that this has been reported. I have no problem removing the original minion. As far as I know, the duplicated ones aren't even there.

Like I said, as far as I know the repeated ones are not really there. So zapping those pets shouldn't do anything to it. If you are worried, you might test it with a cheap minion?
