Seems like the Potion Lottery has been slightly odd for a while but today the same user won for I think the 3rd day in a row. I also know probably 95% of the tickets sold went to two other users so it seems unlikely this user would happen to win again.

I've also been suspicious of the potions won, it used to be Blacklight or Common a majority of the time. I hate to say I just don't have a lot of trust in coding of older aspects of the site. Can someone please look into this? It's annoying spending sP when I don't have faith in the system.

I'm so sorry for pinging you, but I was just wondering the amount of tickets that you bought on the 28th for your 29th (today's) win.

I personally had about 50K and I know had about as much as me and this seems very petty, I know! And I'm sorry for the bother.

But the fact of the matter is this has happened actually pretty often these past few months. It being an unlucky streak is totally probably, but we've had multiple instances of people with chances being in the 1:30 range, meaning they had 90%+ of the tickets purchased and they still lost. So, like Jayman said, it's a little discerning. [edit] btw, I know I sound like a bitter apple, feel free to judge me all you want. lol I would to, but also, I was thinking of just how this could possibly be broken and I'm wondering if an issue that occurred previously has continued to persist, but just got put under a difference face?

Previously, when a certain amount of tickets were sold to one user it actually broke the potion lottery. A "user not found" would win rather than the intended user. So after a certain number of tickets something in the system broke. What if it was "fixed" by making it so those who go above that number again just get eliminated or redrawn or something. So, like previously, if the amount of tickets went above a certain amount that user actually couldn't possible win, but rather than there being no winner at all, it defaults to a user who isn't over that amount?

Either way, that "User not found" error was "fixed" but it was never addressed why it was actually broken and how it got fixed, which is pretty upsetting.

That user is a longtime PL hog, it's not a bug. And I thought the potion distribution was fixed. It always used to be only Blacklight, Common, Glacier or Glade. There's been a wide range of potions won for like a month.

Yeah I haven't tracked it lately so it might be fixed since I have noticed some different potions the past couple of days I just brought it up since it adds to my general distrust of the system xD

I buy 1404 tickets daily, it's my lucky number (error page 404 not found!!!) so I stick to it. have to say I'm surprised I won today, my odds yesterday were pretty bad, like 1:500 or something, now I know why XD

I don't think the lotto is broken, it's just luck. also if you enter daily your number is bound to come up eventually, you just have to keep at it!

I didn't win 3 times in a row, it's 5 times on the course of this month. it just seems like alot since most enter now and again not daily XD

Just as an aside, some friends all got together on my bday this year and bought me like 99% of the tickets or something ridiculous and I still didn't win XD I think Random Chance is fun like that sometimes.

Well, it's subeta so normally I could believe it's random chance, but when the odds say 1:30 and that's supposed to be a good thing there's just a lot of questions with the accuracy of the process.

I have no problem with one person winning multiple times, it just seems against the odds on days when other people are buying even more tickets and repeatedly losing.

I wouldn't have this doubt if the Potion Lottery hadn't been broken before for so long and if Subeta didn't have a history with messing up RNGs big time. I know one instance was those Gifts of Fashion Pasts and a couple items weren't being pulled and for the longest time it was just, "It's random and you're unlucky" replies and everyone believed it because it makes total sense, but after awhile something was definitely up and only after multiple reports was it found out that something in the code was messed up and screwing up the ability to get those items.

Buying that many tickets? Jeez, now I know why you win all the time. Haha. I usually just buy one mega ticket and hope for the best. Seriously, congrats on winning so much.

I don't consider myself unfortunate at all. I was on hiatus for a awhile so i missed the time when the lotto was broken or whatever. if you do believe that something is wrong with the coding you should send in a ticket. I just think the lotto is just that, a lotto, game of chance.

If theres something wrong with the coding, the UAs cant do anything about it, they would just tell you to make a problem & bugs thread. It'd just be nice to have a confirmation that the feature is working as intended.
