I have gotten two phantom floaters this evening, using two different browsers (Firefox, v.33.1 and Safari, v.8.0).

Both times, the error message has simply said "Oh No! Invalid item - "

Still getting broken image, when i clicked at first said nothing, I went back and again to the page with broken floater and then gave me this error: "Oh No! We have no record of this floating item (176397)!"

No error msg, just the invalid item pop up.

yeah, i've had a few too. mostly in the last day or so, all the ones before that seemed to be ok

I've only managed to find 1 floater during the last two days...weird...

Still getting at least half, maybe more than half, of my floaters as invalid ones. Also still noticing those small broken pics from time to time, I'm sure there are more but they are hard to spot so may have missed a bunch.

maybe you are also getting floaters as small boxes with an x in it? They are so small they're easy to miss against the background. I first noticed them a few days ago and got some today too.

You might be right. I actually managed to find one of those x floaters and of course, it was an invalid item

That must be it then, they are hardly noticeable so if we see one or a few a day, imagine how many more we are missing.
