I was wondering if there's any chance to get the wishlists fixed any time soon, very hard to follow what I have and what not.

I think (can't be sure, but THINK) she means that wishlists (or, at least, some) are no longer displaying the message beneath an item that tells you whether you own it or not.

I haven't seen that message since wishlists were revamped - not on my own wishlist in ANY view, and not on the wishlists of others. It's a very tiny inconvenience, and I'm not up in arms about it, but it was a nice feature, and I hope that it's a glitch and wasn't intentionally done away with. I really depended on that message when browsing wishlists, because I don't always know what EXACTLY is already on my account when gifting or even searching my own wishlist.

I think it was said somewhere that message was deliberately removed because it was slowing down wishlist loading.

If what you mean is the lack of "You have this item!" text, that is addressed here. The text was removed deliberately because it was causing lag on wishlist loading. Destiny says they're looking into a replacement for it though.

Oh, so that's what's up! I just came back after a hiatus and I was wondering why I didn't seem to have anything to sell from people's wishlists xD;. Ah. I'll miss that feature, but it'd be cool to get a replacement. Maybe sort of like the 'view wishlist items' in the shop option but instead for things you already own.

I just don't understand what they would replace it with that wouldn't be just as laggy. I was thinking maybe a button to Search Owned, like you would Search Wishlist in shops or something. But whether you account search a page of 50 items when the page loads, or when you click the button, what difference does that make?

I would have thought a separate account search page would at least preferable to the old version; running a full search some of the time instead of every time is still a big improvement. In the mean time, individual account search links aren't a bad alternative (I know they've always been there, but I've frequently overlooked them since I was automatically told whether I had each item or not). I'm not holding my breath for a solution by Lumi, but wishlists aren't unusable in the meantime.

The only thing i can think off is that, if they put the button in, the WL page does not automatically runs the search/queries and pull data from servers. So, if people accidentally click on WL it adds the extra strain, whereas now it only strains the servers when people actually need it/want it to.

Still, I really miss this feature alot. So, i really hope the replacement DOES make it quicker, faster for us (which i doubt, since technically it's still performing the same task). However, it should be less server intensive overall, and if this cleans up lag, hmm, maybe its worth it.

I had never really thought that that little text message beneath items on wishlists telling me that I had something actually added to lag. (I guess I kind of assumed the lag was only there because of giant wishlists, or something.) But I can see how it might be a strain, that check being run automatically every time you view any wishlist. So I can see why it was done away with, and why a replacement that you run yourself might be better for the servers.

But I really don't want to have to depend on Account Search. The link is super helpful, you know, already there beneath the items on a wishlist. But that is a lot of clicking and page loading I wouldn't have to do if we had a replacement that was maybe a button I'd need to click once to get all the info on the same page. If that makes sense?

I do hope the replacement is really already in the works and that it makes it to us before Luminaire, too. It would just be a whole lot more convenient.

I like how this function works with the CW Pawn Shop and most shops/galleries but it doesn't work with the largest of the latter. I guess that's more of a user issue than a site one though.

This is really frustrating! It makes things really hard to sort out proper especially this time of year.
