THIS is as far as I've gotten so far Spurs off camera omfg this is from before my op, I can't believe how short a time ago that was... because I'm waiting on the jacket, I'm... it's a Christmas gift to myself ;w; custom made, it's not just for the cosplay of course though, so I'll be (very very carefully) adding the extra stuff on myself. With the exception of a a medal strip and gun I have everything (I don't have a photo with the belts and holster for some reason...) I need to research the gun more, I've found a place in the UK that sells nice replicas (online), but I'm suspicious because laws on realistic replicas here are strict and these don't seem like they'd be the right side of the law... Bit puzzled on that :( sorry I didn't mean to get started.

I used to be better about at least sketching stuff (for myself) very frequently, but doing that and finishing pieces for other people is a whole different ball game. It takes a lot of resolve to push past the disinterest you might have in the characters that you're drawing day after day, although I imagine that being a fast worker probably helps. I'm glad you took a day for yourself. n__n

Sounds like it's going to be pretty bad-ass! I really like your spurs. I think I remember gun laws in general being much stricter in the UK than they are in the USA (probably true for lots of places) but yeah, lots of conventions and festivals recently have been pushing tighter restrictions on prop weapons. I've seen everything from a real blade needing to be zip-tied to its sheath to only being allowed to have an empty sheath/holster as part of your costume. :c Some people ruin it for everyone.

I like for feathers to pick up on some of the background/lighting colour, so transparent is the best way to do that without making it look odd if it ends up on the wrong colour bg ;w; plus it just looks... nicer to me. So thank you, it's nice to have it appreciated ^^

Having done this for about 5 years now helps too XD back when I started I spent half my time whining that I was bored, now I just get it done and I don't even think about it? Admittedly I'm getting far more interesting characters to draw now (like yours omg, I love it), and more variety, back in the day I had a long list of things I couldn't draw, which I whittled down until I could do just about anything, so that helps. About 60% practiced self control and 40% variety XD

I need an up to date photo ;A; one that's full body, with real lighting, while I'm NOT standing on my bed XD so professional Oh yeah a LOT, you can't even import realistic non-firing fakes without certain certifications, which is why I'm puzzled by this site, I'm not sure it's legit, when I was doing my research it looked like you had to basically be a licensed gunholder it's so hard to get them. I appreciate the protection but at the same time ugh, I'd LOVE to collect firearms, and I love shooting and this is not making it easy XD oh well, I'll be licensed one day and I'll have my own area to shoot in. Yeah =< well it is for the best, they're not things to be taken lightly. I have a real holster at least XD and I'm working on making a foam makarov if I'm not able to get the revolver I want.

Yeah, I definitely appreciate it- especially having attended some cons that have received violent threats- but I also really love to see the level of detail that people put into their cosplay and it's terrible when someone has to leave a completely fake weapon in their room because the job they did on it was TOO good. That's a good alternative at least!
