Oh god. ;;o;; ❤️ I've had a great interest in art and drawing since I was young, and I do oil paintings irl. (This digital gig here is actually rather new, and I hope my digital talent grows and surpasses even my traditional talent. cx ) I also like animals and enjoy studying their anatomy. ;o; In a non-weird way.

Also I took architecture for about a year, and we had a sketching class during the first semester where we would sketch allllllll day. (We would just sit and draw cubes/pots/flowers for hours. Sometimes I just hated that class.) and drawing (very precise drawings) was a large part of all of the architecture program. But yeah the sketch class really helped me since the teacher was really on our backs about detail and 'draw what you see and not what you know', plus sitting and drawing a single object (a simple cube for example) for 8+ hours can really tune into things like light, depth and perspective.

Nah, that's barely a book. Anyway long posts mean you really wanted to explain it. I did a short human anatomy class for a week once, but it didn't sink into me and I didn't practice at all after that, so I've forgotten everything. I believe anything can look nice as long as you get the proportions right (which is hard). That sketching class of yours sounds fantastic an terrible at the same time. If I had to draw a cube for 8 hours I'll probably flip a table at the next cube I see xD

Yes, I do try to do some art when I have the time/inspiration, and I keep a little orange ringed sketchbook for it. Usually I imagine sometime gorgeous, but when I pick up a pencil and start drawing it becomes crap ;u; I also recently got a drawing tablet to connect to my PC in hopes that my art would look better digitally, but that hasn't been going so well. At least I get to Ctrl+Z~ I wish I had the money and free time to get into a drawing course, but for now I'm still schooling and schoolwork never allows me much leisure time or energy left to be creative, which is just really sad..

Yes I totally get you about the 'having an image in your mind' but it turning to crap once the idea hits paper. But don't let that discourage you!! Practice is the only way to perfection! Even if it's just sketching out tons of the same animal/person/place, even if they are simple sketches or doodles, you can always learn something new by merely drawing! And for me the traditional to digital conversion period was....terrible. Haha. You really just have to do what 'feels' right, and if you like a certain aspect of your style roll with it, or if you dislike an aspect...drop it. Developing your own style is, imo, pretty important. (Though mine is still in development. c; ) ( But yes ctrl+z is a god send.) I wish you good luck and all the best in your artistic pursuits!!
