Hey! Ok iv'e got a rough sketch with base colors right here! I'm not too sure if that's what you wanted with the markings, or did you just want the facial markings to be dark?

It's perfect! The crown isn't too big at all. I really like it as it is!

thanks for the progress shot :D! the eyes are amazing, but as always (and again sorry that I am so picky D: ) it would be awesome if you could change some things is it possible to change the color of the feathers a bit? on the pictures of the real owl Zeus (here and here) there is some brown in it the beak looks great, but the face itself looks (at least for me) different from the original one there are not that much white and grey in it I am so bad at explaining ^^" but it would be totally awesome if your overlay would look as similiar to the pics as possible - I am also willing to pay you extra for that effort and may I ask what is that part under his wings? it nearly looks like a tail x:

You are so awesome :D! Before I try to explain everything in my worst english, I doodled a bit in your progress shot (I hope you don't mind!) I guess the one pic of Zeus was taken without lightning so I guess it's a bit too brown, more grey-ish (as on the pic that shows him from the side), didn't realized it, sorry! Important for me are the white tips on his wings (can be really good seen on the second pic I posted at the top of this site, the wings are also not that dark, more like the bellypart) And it would be awesome if you could make the part under his beak a bit smoother (and, if it's not that much trouble for you, adding some brown at the top and bottom of the beak? it's just a bit, just slightly brown)

I feel so ashamed that I am so picky ._. btw shall I already post the form for my second slot? or shall I wait till next year :)?

Heyy! Aw don't feel ashamed for being picky! I love how enthusiastic you are for your pets, especially Zeus! He certainly is a special little fellow!

Ok I've also got a few changes down for you. This is before and this is after! I went ahead and added brown to his beak, is that the right placement/shade of brown? I also added white to his wings, as well as lightened his wings up and made his entire body more grey. Is that the right color now? (Don't be shy to tell me if it isn't!) I also made the area under his beak more smooth.

Also I'm not exactly sure why you circled some parts on his head, I'm assuming you want his head shape/lineart changed. That is totally fine, I just wanted to ask you before I made any major changes! And yes please submit the form for your second slot now! Thank you Chi! ❤️

I am so sorry for my late answer D: I had to work longer the past few days! Sorry for that :( The color change is PERFECT! exactly what I imagined! The brown part at the beak is also perfect, I love it! What I meant with the circles around some parts of his head is not the shape of the head itself, but the black part from his cheeks to his eyebrows, looks like a big line to me, but compared to the pictures, he just has some few black/brown feathers on "eye level" not a continuous "line" (you know what I mean?) And what I meant with the circle around his eyebrows - they look like they were just affixed, can't describe it better D: Would it bother you to add some feather around his beak that 'overlay' his beak a bit? Does this help you?

I'm not exactly sure what Friedhof's commission type would be called either actually. D; But yes I would love to take this on! I added in a few minor details, a tiny bit of shading and I made his eyebrows look less 'affixed'. Would you like his eyebrows to look even 'softer'? :> I also fixed the darker feathering around his face! Better now?

ohhh nonono you don't give ma ANY trouble with Zeus overlay :) I am bad at explaining and I am amazed how calm and patient you are with me xD So don't think about that anymore ^^ As I said I planned to commission you for nearly all of my pets ;)

As the most common screen resolution today is 1366 x 768 - so maybe something in 900px width? Just don't know how much pixel you need it in height :) And how about a headshot ^^? As you are just doing Friedhofs head ^^
