Responding to this assuming you are serious, and not making a joke at the expense of witches . Not all practitioners of witchcraft are Wiccans. I am an eclectic practitioner, a "kitchen witch" and I know many ceremonial witches who cringe when being called Wiccans.
The warty green witch as popularized by the Wizard of Oz is a costume caricature of evilness. It was never aimed at real witches. Even so, some witches do find the image insulting, but few take it seriously enough to be put out.

Just read the second page, 😅 My bad. Thank you for being concerned about items offensive to witches. Luckily that ugly image is a fantasy creature, not a slur aimed at real witches, and not to be taken any more seriously than Frankenstein's monster or werewolf costumes.
I knew a board like this would be created. I just knew it. |D
Please no. I agree with the person that said if we wanted to be PC about everything, Morostide wouldn't even exist. I also agree with .
Those items aren't actually making fun of Wicca. I don't even think of Wicca when I think of typical Halloween witch fare or Elphaba. This is equivalent to making a problem where there really isn't any to be found. I don't really get what you wanted to happen? Rename? Change the description? It's like the so-called "war on Christmas" - someone says Christmas they're referring to Santa Claus and gifts. Someone else says Christmas they're referring specifically to a religious celebration. Neither is wrong because Christmas has a different meaning to everyone. And we should be okay with that because no meaning is any less meaningful / trivialized just because there are different ways to celebrate the holiday. Okay, so I swear this wasn't a tangent thing, because this can also be applied to the word witch imo. ;s
What's pissing people off so much about this? It's just a suggestion. The gypsy items were rebranded because, in certain contexts and to certain people, they were offensive. This suggestion was made with the same intent - to cull a potentially offensive item from the site, or at least consider doing so.
Granted, I am of the opinion that if it doesn't directly bother you/you don't entirely know the ins and outs of its history and offensiveness and so on, you should leave it be. But that doesn't give me or anyone else the right to completely dismiss or deprecate what was intended to be a legitimate suggestion.
[edit] As for the items, I think green hag/broomstick/pointy hat things are more associated with fairytale/witch mythos than with wicca practitioners themselves, though I'm not well versed on the topic so I wouldn't entirely know. I also haven't heard any uproar/complaints from the wiccan community about stereotypical pointy-hatted, green-faced characters that pop up around halloween. So if they as a whole don't feel persecuted or alienated, I don't see the problem.
