I'm a Garuda from the Hindu/Buddhist mythologies.

I bet some of you were expecting a mermaid out of my, but after all the Nessie looks it was time to look elsewhere for inspiration...

This is inspired by the Leanan sídhe of Celtic folklore.

You may recognize that term from Lost Girl (The Morrigan) or The Dresden Files (Harry's fairy godmother). While I love both of those characters, I didn't use them for inspiration. Instead I went with an artistic temptress type.

I love all of the looks so far!

I went a bit more specific and attempted in to modernize an Egyptian goddess.

Nut: Egyptian goddess of the sky; mother of Isis, Osiris, Nephthys & Seth. It was believed that her body created a canopy over the earth.

True... but all the fun stuff I would do for a mermaid I used on Nessie. Bella is taking the look to a fun place.

i skipped the fall theme :( well i'm still in time for the last one... here is my Kappa "Kappa are mischievous legendary creatures, a type water sprites found in Japanese folklore. In medieval Japan, this humanoid creatures were believed to dwell in lakes, rivers and swampy areas"

ps ugh no cw is hard :( especially since my salon skill is meh.

I started with the drive to create a yeti-inspired look, but then I got lost in it and moved on to a manticore which ended up looking more succubus-y. "The manticore is a Persian legendary creature similar to the Egyptian sphinx. It has the body of a lion, a human head with three rows of sharp teeth, sometimes bat wings, and a trumpet-like voice. It may be horned, winged, or both. The tail is that of either a dragon or a scorpion, and it may shoot venomous spines to either paralyze or kill its victims."

I missed the deadline for the last one, the 14th is a rough day for me every year... But I sooo loved everyone's submissions!!! ❤
