You can use any part of the fabric, as long as the patterns are present an they don't look like solid colors. :3
And yes, those fabrics will do nicely. <3
awesome! i will get working on them today, but they wont be done until next thursday, because i took my sewing machine in this past thursday and it takes a whole week to get back :( but the sewing part is really fast anyways, prep works takes a while
That's okay!
I don't have the payment yet, but hopefully I can get by next Thursday. :3
Could I purchase the bows via your etsy shop through paypal?
yea next thursday would be the soonest i would get it done, but it could take as long as into the weekend because i only have one day off next week and that's on wednesday. i think i have paypal set up on my etsy, i honestly have been wanting to try it out that way, so when the bows are ready ill make an etsy listing for you and let you know :)
Thanks so much!
I can't wait to accessorize my girls, I mean dolls.
i cant wait to see final products of them, maybe also help you out in the future as well haha
This is only slightly relevant, but wanna see my dolls? xD
that's awesome! how did you come up with the names? and how do you pronounce them? im assuming the first one is like ha-chi but the araceli one kinda lost me a little. also what all have you altered on them? and what do you decide to do for changes? are there multiple outfits? where did you get them originally? i've looked in the dolls for monster high (never watched it, but the dolls are GORGEOUS!)
Aw, thank you!
Here's the pronunciations: Hachi = Ha-chi and Araceli = Are-cell-ee
I decided to name my dolls with the names that originate from the languages that I am taking or have taken in school... xD Hachi is Japanese, it means the number eight, bee and flowerpot. Araceli is Spanish, it means heavenly alter or something.
I'm thinking about getting a third doll, her name will be of Latin origin since I stated taking Latin.
Here's how they used to look: Hachi and Araceli...
As you can see, I've change both their eyes and hair. I've also changed each of their make-up stuff, but very slightly.
They have multiple outfits, but only come with one. I decided to do the changes because I hated Hachi's original cartoon eyes. Ugh. And since Hachi got pretty eyes, I decided that Araceli needed some too.
Here are some places to checkout, if your interested in buying one:
Amazon and Pullip Style
God, sorry for the giant wall of text. xD
i never realized how expensive those dolls can be, holy shit. i think the changes you made to the dolls are incredible i never would of even thought they were the same dolls. the original eyes look so bad compared to the changes to made by you! did you cut their hair at all? i feel like the bangs for both girls look slightly different. how did you dye their hair, was it with hair dye? i think that the changes you made are incredible! my boyfriend has some creepy guy dolls but we dont have any places to put them and we never made any changes to them at all, there's nothing to really change i feel like? but with dolls there's so many options and varieties.
Aw, thanks again. <3
Actually I didn't dye anything, the dolls come with wigs that are glued on, but can be exchanged with others.
And yeah, they can get pretty damn pricey. I was lucky enough to get three of my dolls at a local Tuesday Morning for 40 bucks. :3
you're welcome! i think its awesome how cheap you got your dolls, lol. but three? you have only been showing me two :P what happened with the third? how do you change up the outfits for them?
I actually have five... Or did... The two girls I showed you are the ones that I haven't dissembled... I have a boy, but everyone kept saying he was such a pretty little girl, so I took him a part. His body is much better than the ones the girl's come with, so I gave Hachi is body. My first doll is just a head now and will forever be one because I ruined her face...
Wanna help me name my incoming doll? :P
i get it now :) i'd love to help you name your incoming doll
Sweet!
Her name needs to be of Latin origin.
So there's a crap ton of options. xD
so muche options :P first did you want it to be long or short? and have you started thinking of any ideas for the representation of the name?
I would like the name to end with the letter I or at least end with the long E sound, like in the names: Hachi and Araceli.
But it would be cool if the name had something to do with the color orange, like the name could mean sunset and sunsets are sometimes orange-ish.
