I know I will probably get a lot of crap for saying this...but is anyone (other then my hubby and I) upset with the people who like to severely cut prices on items?
Im all for wanting people to be able to enjoy them too...but multiple times today Im seeing people take a item that is 13 mil, go to 1 mil...then to 99k....>.> do they have something against making money? am I missing something here? Not to mention it basically screws the people who auto-price there shops and dont take a moment to look and see...oh..nice...some jerky pants cut my "item here" by some insane amount..these arent new items either...these are like..cash shop clothing, retired plushies so on etc. rare books...everything...its just...sad and frustrating...
ok...Im done..yay for complaining and bragging boards for somewhere to write this...sighs

While I've only auto-priced a handful of times because no GA, I totally sympathize with you. I think there's a difference between under-cutting by a certain % but to take something that's justifiably at 13mil (and isn't just an overinflated common rarity item) and drop it to under a million is .... no words. I mean they can probably easily sell it if they advertise it in trades or forums as quicksale, so I don't get it either. o__o Maybe they just don't know about auto-pricers and how their under-cutting affects other sellers. /hugs
If you truly think an item is worth more than it is listed on the shop search then buy the undercut prices and set them to your own prices. It's one thing if someone is trying to manipulate prices to buy certain items and get people to autoprice at a really low price but it's another thing if the item just isn't worth what you think it is. I know how it is wanting to get the most out of something when you can but many times it just isn't worth the inflated or higher prices. Sometimes people just want quick sP, sometimes they believe it isn't worth the same price as you value it. Demand will ultimately make that call.
If someone undercuts your 13m item by pricing at 1m then buy it and resell it. I promise you'll have a harder time selling it at your price though.
I'm rereading my post and it sounds a little brash but that's not my intention :)
I can understand both your point of views, and I actually do go and buy up the cheap prices at times...sometimes I can tell if its just they missed a number (and I know that not everyone has autoprice) I know items come down etc. It just seems that theres a pattern with weekend players (the 13 million was an example of one item)
but heres todays example, my hubby has a food, that doesnt often restock from the underground (rarity 78), that was selling for 79k, other people had then too...then one person came in and decided 15k and now he is buying up all the cheap ones (I do watch to see how things are selling etc.) We do restock and I do have items that go no where...so i get both points. really...its just frustrating. :(
and Stakely I dont think your being brash hun :) I know you mean well!

I saw a current subQ item at around 100k and whoever priced it first drove 8 others via autopricer to do the same. That's less than subQ official price and that's not even taking into account the cost of a subQ invite. Some undercutting is plain ridiculous.
THATS what Im talking about!!! you found it! XD thats why i say I get some of it...it makes sense...but others your like...do you not know what your doing??? Now I can honestly admit I LOVE when I get the lower price (i know hypocritical..lol) but it usually doesnt happen...its just madness I say!

An item is only worth what someone will pay for it. Just because its sitting in your shop at 15m doesn't mean someone is going to pay that.
People might do this on purpose to buy a lot of SUBQ invites for cheap, but ran out of money to buy them all?
It was done with plushie kits a while back. I bought 8 of them for less than 2M in total because there were too much autopriced at a deflated price. They were ETS around 800K, back then.
its crazy right? I know Im not alone in seeing this...but it makes me want to throw my shoe at there heads -.-

I'm glad they do so. It means that I am the one to make the profit, not them.
sux2sux, undercutters.
lol well...yes...as long as the product moves..XD

You mean buy the 100k item for cheap in bulk because they drove the deflation? (because I wrote subQ item and you said invites so I'm confused xD)
Yeah, it's ultimately their loss. People who like to profit or who don't like deflation will buy them right up. :3
How about this: You have one shop for those constantly cheap items you can just autoprice without care, and another for your rare items where you check all the prices for undercuts before changing them. Unless you're swimming in rare items, I don't think it would take that long to spot all the alarming red numbers.
That is a really smart way of thinking. I like you.
User prices are ass crazy at the moment. I'm seeing items that were worth a couple of mil drop down to barely being worth 300k. While at the same time, I'm seeing items that were once worth 3mil now selling in shops for 50mil. What the flip is going on?
Thanks for the good times Subeta!
Ducks shoe.
Sorry, guilty. I had a bunch of high ticket items gathering dust and I just wanted to clear them out. I can't afford to get a GA and without autoprice the shop was too unwieldy to manage as it was.
well....at least you have a decent reason...Im not so mad anymore...so...I wont hit you with my shoe :D BUT NEXT TIME! I probably wont then either....cant speak for my hubby though snickers

Yeah, in retrospect I should have advertised a white elephant sale in the forums.... But I was angry with myself for buying a doubles of items I already had, so I blew everything out at whatever round number seemed sellable compared to the overall average price. I honestly don't know what-all I have in there anymore, or any idea what it's really worth. Gonna have to do a mass frag on my vault pretty soon too... 😩
sounds like you have a serious hording problem XD I mean its great to rake in the money...harder when it doesnt sell...and fragging is great...anything rarity 66 (I believe) and higher gets a crystal...so thats good...LOL XD
