I've been here a little less than two years, and am constantly kicking myself for not finding it sooner. I wasted years on the Other Petsite, just going through the motions and never really engaging. Subeta was such a breath of fresh air by comparison. Friendly people, great looking pets, extensive clothing options, pop-culture references abound, staff actually engaging with the users and implementing suggestions. There's always something for me to do here, which probably doesn't help when I really have better things to be doing. I love any event that comes up - I always look forward to the new items - but my favourites are Masquerade (I love seeing everyone so dressed up, and it's great excuse for really flamboyant HAs) and Fireside (it was going on when I joined up, so it reminds me of my first impressions of the site and how exciting and confusing it all is).

I joined Subeta... two years ago? during my heavy Neo phase. At that point, Neo was becoming less fun for me and more tedium and jealousy I knew I would never get my dream pets. A few minutes into Subeta, though, and even though I wasn't hooked on this site, I was definitely off Neo. Probably because Sarah gave me like 30k for one quest and I was like HOLY GOD this would never have happened on Neo.

And... the community here! (thanks for the ping heart) was my first friend onsite, and she sent me a little kitty (which I still have. gasp.) and nothing like that had ever happened to me on Neo before, so I felt more than a little awed that people here were, actually, y'know... nice.

Making friends here was easy and fun, and the holidays and the WEARABLES and the fact that I could actually achieve all of my dreams without slaving away for years on end, and the awesome available names and the STUNNING art and Lumi and Masq and Valentine's Day and just gaaahhhh. Subeta has brought me a lot of joy, and even though I don't have time to play it as much during the school year, I'm so happy for it and all of you guys.

Thank you so much for doing this giveaway and letting me spill out all of my Subeta feelings. Yay!

Hi there! Thank you for pointing out something a lot of people forget. Subeta has made it... really made it. I'd wager thousands of sites built on similar premises died before their owners could ever see their dream come true. I truly believe the community is why Subeta has made it. I came to Subeta via during a difficult time. I had found out I had uterine cancer. Aynjell brought me here in SUCH excitement. She spent weeks convincing me to join because of the clothes, the items, the people. She truly truly loves it here, Subeta is her home... and now? Subeta is mine as well. It took me awhile to get into playing regularly. I had to undergo a surgery that took a lot out of me mentally and physically ( was lucky not to have to undergo Chemo/Rad and my heart goes out to all who do)... but one day in bottom depths of my personal hell I turned to Subeta. I was lost and confused and bombarding Aynjell with a million questions. It was then when I didn't want to burden her anymore I reached out to a random stranger.. she became my next Subeta best friend. It was instant. She is such a HUGE hearted person.. she and Aynjell couldn't be ANY more different as people but their hearts are both the size of Texas.

As I slowly started playing more and more I occasionally would post a couple lines in the forums, or more often send people messages of hellos on their comments. Suddenly out of nowhere I was wrapped up in more friendly faces, more welcomes, more advice, and more presents than I could ever hope to list here. THAT love helped me rebound at least online. I still couldn't face the "real world" but when in Subeta, I could forget everything else. I also started gifting anonymously constantly. It was awesome (Still is!) to send pictures, poems, songs, and silly gifts to people as an Anon. Aynjell had to constantly tell me to stop because being so new I had no sp and had more fun spending it on others than stockpiling it lol. Through my journey I've met amazing people. If I didn't list you here PLEASE smack me. I broke my wrist/hand and am on a large amount of percocet. I promise I do NOT mean to leave anyone out. I am going to ping my entire friends list and then some, just because everyone needs to know they've brightened someone's day!

My friend of 10 years got me started on Subeta, unfortunately it was so long ago I don't even remember her username and circumstances have pulled us apart over time. I have been an on and off player since 2006/2007 and every time life just got too busy and I'd forgotten about the site I'd find myself drawn back in again. I have made so many lovely friends here, always willing to help me out <3 My time on Subeta is usually spent on my pets, making them as pretty as possible and throwing so much sp into them that I'm always broketh xD I also love collecting pretty wearables and bunny minions :3 You'll find that I actually cannot go a single day without spending at least an hour on the site, even if it's just stalking the forums and not saying very much xD back when I was in high school I'd sometimes pull an all nighter on here talking to old friends and having a laugh....and being too exhausted to go to school in the morning :P My favourite pet is the angelic Kora and I really hope to eventually manage to save to buy another potion for my pet Dreamer to turn her into another Lord of the Rings fanpet of course xD I've always kind of used Subeta as a way to show my love for all things Tolkien and talk with all the other fans on site, so if you get a random add from me it's usually because I've stalked your profile and seen you're a fan xD I hope to be a part of this site for many more years to come and I cannot wait to see what they have in store for us in the future :) thanks for always being amazing Subeta! <3

I've been on Subeta for 7 years. I found it after looking for pet sites similar to, but better than, Neopets. I found my home at Subeta. I love the site. I've been online almost daily in the last 7 years. I've been in a few great cults over the years and met some awesome people. I love all of the events and unique features this site offers.

I don't quite remember how I discovered Subeta. At first, the only reason I signed up was to see what the pets looked like. I got quite bored because there wasn't much here yet. After Neopets de-vamped all the pets I came back for good. I've been here for seven awesome years now. The community's great, the staff isn't faceless and look! Grownups!

Oh, this is exciting!

I started on subeta because someone on Gaia posted Arvee.org and I had a lot of fun with the layering and I liked the largers HAs. I've since left Gaia entirely due to my dislike of the way they run things now, so Subeta is my home. I love to make my OCs with the HAs and sometimes I make an HA into an OC. :D

Oh man... I love this site. XD I have spent way too much money on it, while still wanting nothing more than to stay here.

I came over from neopets, about two years ago, because I was so sick of never having points, of never having interesting pets, and over everything being the damn same. I saw the art for the pets and fell in love, and when I saw there were wearables and a wardrobe... I just couldn't get out. The community is so small that I can still restock, and the items are still worth something. I can buy CSC instead of spending money on it... I still do, but that's because I believe it's a place worth supporting.

Everything about this site is perfect.

I am what some users would call a newbie for sure. I have been on Subeta for a bit over 2 months now, coming from a previous pet site where i'd been on for 10+ years. Subeta feels more natural despite a few quirks. I already had a grasp on things to do from the previous pet site, so I got down to business REALLY fast lol I didn't start training until a few weeks ago, but I love the whole CSC thing with autotraining. I am really excited to see what Subeta has in store, and I just LOVE the admins/mods. They're all so nice, and Keith is a super cutie.

EDIT: Also, don't want anything, but it would be nice to be considered for the CW raffle. If you need any help with contributions, I have a ton of retired Subq

I joined Subeta so I could get the special pets for Valenth. I got so frustrated with the wardrobe and the HA that I left Subeta. The demise of Valenth caused me to take a second look.

What had I been thinking? Over the last couple of years, I've spent hours per day when I can. Love the people, events, art, quests, games. So much to do (so little time. Haha!).There's something for everyone's interest. Viva Subeta.

I remember I first got here in 2009-10? I was playing gaia online among many other people I met there and suddenly the group of friends started coming to subeta so I made an account here (Folllow the flow). I left gaia after a time and after a time of playing here I decided it was time to move on because I had more stuff in real life to take care of. At some point, I made another account here because I couldn't remember the last one (turns out that after a while of searching it had been cleared) so when I knew there was no way to get my account with my stuff back, I left...and months afterwards I started using this account, again!

Guess I never felt like I wanted to completely left, many stuff happened in my life back then so now when I am here and rocking I'm really loving it more. I made new friends who are actually more caring than the friends I had before and don't talk to me anymore. I met the people in my cult, I met people with the same fancy wishes as I do around here.

I never had a favorite feature until now that I know all that I can do.... the blackheart hollow rage, the efford of learning CSS and html to do my pet profiles. Making my fan pets a true thing, collecting stickers and dressing up my avatar. I really love that there's always events going on around here, there's always something to do and that keeps me entertained.

I love subeta and I don't want to leave it because at this moment, I might not be ready for that. Who knows, I'm going to grow up as an adult who pay taxes (currently at university) and maybe I won't find time for this.... maybe I'll keep coming here. I guess that as long as there's friends around me, I'll totally want to be around.

I've been around for a while--taking long breaks. I have been on here on and off for years. But, I have been pretty faithful to Subeta since 2011.

Even though Subeta has improved vastly, I think that they have stayed true to their vision. Sometimes I get upset with site, but all relationships are that way.

My friend whom I know from irl, got me started here, and got her started. When I first started I was horrified by some of the things I would see in the shoutbox and forums. I didn't talk to any one for years because I didn't think much of the community based upon just witnessing some very limited interactions. At one point, I don't even know when, I just started conversations with people over, trading, shopping in my shop, commenting on their avatars, just things like that. Eventually, I started making great friends...Lumi is really when I came out of my shell and met and eventually meeting not long after that after he shopped in my shop over and over--I commented him to tell him how much I liked his old user name--later we got close ❤ Then meeting through conversation; and through the forums (I started to get brave and venture onto the forums) and not long after that meeting the wonderful after she returned some wizard tokens to me that she thought I placed in the donation center on accident, always so thoughtful ❤ Then there was turning point in my Subeta life: I started to spend money, hehe. Custom Wearables were new and exciting! I made friends with , all through the common love of CWs ❤ Then there were a few that I met just through how amazing they are, --I just don't know what Subeta would be like if we hadn't started talking :D I was also lucky enough to meet my pen-pal from Slovakia, , through our common love of nature and art ❤ I would have never gotten through so many plots lines if it wasn't for her! :P I also had the pleasure of being part of the wonderful UNIQUE cult briefly where I made friends with some awesome people: ❤ I have also been lucky to be friends with and :) Last, but not least, I am ashamed to say I don't remember how we met, but I am so thankful for you .

Needless, to say, there wouldn't be much here for me without all of you, my wonderful friends ❤ Thank you for everything and thank you for making Subeta what it is :D

This is wonderful. I've been on Subeta off an on for several years now after someone from Neo converted me and I never looked back. I've always loved the events the most, they're just so much fun and great for socializing. I like the SB (when people are being nice) and feel like I've mad some good friends in there. And achievements.. they're my ADDICTION! haha.
