If you decided on one of the new strains you won't be able to remove the skin until more people have progressed in the infection (if you got infected w/in the firs few hours of the event). If you decided on a past infection, once you reach the last stage, you will be able to remove it.

See, I had a feeling that was the case. Is it the whole Underground, or just Skitters shop?

And on that note, can anyone explain to me how the dang Alchemist works? I'm trying to get certain items (Driftwood and Ragged Feathers) but I keep getting ripped up shorts and other stuff I don't want...

I'm not entirely sure how the Alchemist works. I always forget to go there, though I have tokens hoarded.

I bought the exact number of tokens and tinctures and layer cards that I needed forever ago, but I wasn't a zombie, so then I was like okay, wait for Survival! Only to find out that there are levels that you have to earn (I guess by crafting things)? so I actually need a lot more than I have... I think...? and I'm not even sure how you tell what level you need to be at to craft different items? nowhere I can find does it list this information so I'm just like... so lost.

~ Maybe someone has a guide on the Forum? I don't see anything on Subetalodge, but I'm going to look again.

ETA: Aside from the basic walk through on the alchemist's page, my best guess would be you have to make a bunch of stuff before you get what you want.

Subetalodge will have the ingredients listed on the item page, but the same combination of ingredients can make multiple items. So there is luck involved...

ETA: - for the Alchemist, my best advice is to go to subetalodge, do a search based on the "Notes" field for "Alchemy Token" which will show you all the items that can be created. When you go directly to the page for the item, it will tell you the combination as well as the other items that could possibly be created with that combination.

I don't think the level really does anything....

It only seems to do that for some items... I think it's stuff that's not wearable/doesn't require a layer card? Plushies, food, etc. My layer cards didn't even seem to work, because I got shorts and a wig when I applied a backdrop card, but... w/e. I'm wondering if it might even just be cheaper to buy all the items directly. o_O

AAAAAAND (Sorry for the ramble today!) today I got the Longtime Member Achievement and got a loyalty box :D I had a pet in mind for the slot we got for the Snowman comp, but I didn't want an odd number of pets (weird I know) - now I won't have to! I have waaaaaaay too many pets as it is though, eek.
